    Arrogant or confident?

I would imagin that if UM was having our kind of success on the field and on the recruiting trail, UM would be a little bit more confident too.. It just comes with the territory man. You win you have the right to be proud. All that behind me now, I can truly say that UM is on the right track recruiting mainly OL and DL difference makers. Taking the all the right steps for sure. Gonna be a great game in a couple of weeks!

I would say the multiple paragraph rant on TBB followed by a bunch of comments saying "we" are going to send UM players to the hospital would be considered arrogance. But thanks for being respectful. I really can't disagree with what you've just said other than that.

back to reality? really? no offense but our best teams havent even been beat by teams outside the SEC in years, much less throttled. I would say that the "reality" is that the top of the SEC is just that much better than everyone else. so IMO while we may get a little cocky at times about our football, we have the right to be, and we ARE living in reality until other teams can prove us wrong on a consistent basis.

on a side note, i am very much looking forward to the opener and have a lot of respect for the program CBH is building at Michigan.

Really dude? Who would you consider your best teams? the national champion...that's obvious but anyone who wasn't the national champion...they have lost to teams outside the SEC. Do your homework

In my defense we dont claim all of our Bama "fans". Every fan base has those retarded fans that just seems to make everyone cringe. I dont think we blow UM's doors off.. Im thinking both play sound football and know what it takes to win. I am thinking 28-17 Bama. Im just glad the two teams are back or on their way back to their former glory.

Yes dude....this may help you a bit. People arent just pulling out of there butts when they say the SEC is the best in college football. Of course we have teams lose but we are the premier conference for football and these stats dont lie.

The right to be cocky? seriously? You can be cocky all you want it just makes you look like a douche. That is how the cocky SEC fans come off to the rest of the nation, as douches.

Read my response to that above. Cant speak for everyone but there are some people that just cant seem to act right in all fan bases.

Isnt bragging rights the whole point of being a college football fan?

I get that. However, there are Bama fans on the Blue Board that i thought were good posters and they have become arrogant. By arrogant I mean the ones who go off sounding like Bama could beat a NFL team. Sounding like Bama will make every college team look like a High School team. Bama has been great the last few years but they are not heads and shoulders above everyone else in college football.

So you mean to tell me you've never, NOT ONE TIME EVER, rubbed it into an ohio state fans face when yall beat them? If there was no such thing as bragging right college football wouldnt mean what it does to us. Im not saying people should be douches about it, but as fans bragging about winning is all we get out of it.

lol I enjoy watching the games. Following my team, etc... Way more than i could ever enjoy bragging about it. Of course everyone jokes around with other fans but I don't go around bragging constantly. If I bring up beating another fans team it's usually in defense to them taking a shot at Michigan.

of course you enjoy watching the games, we all do. but if you watched the games but never talked about them to anyone or never said another word about them after the fact then it would be pretty boring. im not saying be a douche, im just saying that the reason you get defensive when someone calls out your team is because you take a sense of pride in winning and if you respond at all to those people it shows that you care beyond just "enjoying watching the games." I didnt come over here to brag or "be a douche" and im not trying to get into a pissing contest, but when i see another fan calling out our whole fan base i have to come to our defense.

Well i see a big difference in talking about the games and bragging about the wins. I very much enjoy talking about the games. I don't get anything out of bragging to other fans.

Look I wasn't trying to be a dick to all Bama fans but it's just my opinion that Bama could use a couple 9-3 seasons to make the portion of your fan base that are loud obnoxious blowhards shut up.

Believe me, we had our share of 9-3 (and way worse) seasons before Saban came to town. I know there are punks in every fan base, but really you only notice them as much when their teams are winning. Thats just how it is. Give Brady Hoke a few years in Ann Arbor and im sure we will be noticing the Douches in your fan base as well. Like i said, i meant no harm, Just had to stick up for the majority of the Bama fans out there who dont happen to be much different than you.

Well said Shane. This is the reason I spoke up as well. It just rubbed me the wrong way when all the Bama fans in the thread were being polite, trying to talk about the game, the excitement, and the prestige of the two programs; then multiple posters attack us as a whole, seemingly out of the blue.

    Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Barely 2 weeks left until an awesome game. Looking forward to hearing Brady Hoke's favorite music "the Sound of Football"

Well it has rubbed me the wrong way from all the Bama fans on the Blue Board acting like Michigan has no business being on the field with Bama. Just because the Bama fans in this thread were acting reasonable doesn't discount all those other fans.

Anybody in your family ever act like a jerk?
Did you go home and slap your mama for having the same last name?
One makes as much sense as the other.

Now if you would like to talk with me about the game I would appreciate it. I am looking forward to the passing game matchups from both sides, how about you?

best solution...dont get on TBB...i gave up the main boards back when we were on the old site. all they are is a bunch of 40 year olds who live in their parents basement beating off to the "hot girl" threads, and telling everyone on the board every time they take a dump. Stick to the teams boards and youre more like to find the conversation youre looking for.

oh yeah for sure...most of the fans on the actual football team pages seem to be pretty solid posters. well, except for bucknuts that is.

I just dont have a feel for this game. one day im confident it will be a game, then the next i feel its a long night for denard with no room to run. im excited and nervous! I just hope we can schedule another in a couple years. we gotta get this young talent infused and seasoned.
fundamentally we should play sound football. but we are gonna need some breaks to bounce our way

  • I remember the feeling i had in 2008 going into Saban's second year at Alabama, we had clemson in the Ga Dome to open the season. I hadnt been as excited for the start of a season in my life, but i had the nervous pit in my stomach as well. Of course im not saying Michigan will win lol, but I can certainly relate to the excitement your fan base must be feeling coming into this game. I do think in retrospect we can say that 2012 Alabama may be a little tougher of a task than 2008 Clemson lol. either way i think all of you michigan fanns have a lot to be excited about in the coming years. I do wish this was a Home and Home though.

  • It's great to renew a rivalry of two of the top programs in college football history! As a child I was always drawn to Michigan's uniforms and the cool striping on the helmets. Michigan fans have class and we look forward to a great time in the big D inside - Jerry World! ps bring wallets - I hear beers are $12!

Yeah, beers are expensive there, also if you bring a date and she wants a margarita it's $22. lol Prices are ridiculous at Cowboy Stadium.

  • Gator fan here, i obviously don't have a dog in this fight but part of me is hoping you guys beat the crap out of Bama because i hate Nick Saban.

Should be a great game either way. As a fan of college football I'm looking forward to seeing Denard Robinson vs Bama's defense.
