Who is Anthony Zettel and what are his on-field credentials?
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
The way today is going, I would be worried about the off field credentials...
Zettel says he's staying as of this evening. I thank you guys for being very respectful to PSU fans recently, and the guys who have not, have kept it off our board unlike many others, so it's much appreciated. As much as I am ok with guys leaving and would have no problem with them going to UM, I'm glad he's staying.
Again, thanks for being respectful.
Zettel still has four years of eligibility remaining.
Good to see, I think he had interest in Michigan, but the coaches at Michigan didn't have interest in him. I'll be pulling for PSU to get stay mediocre and not fall into obscurity during the sanctions.
Come over to Wolverine247 whenever you want, we're always up for discussion.
Edit: Can't quote without VIP

I really liked the players coming out and saying they're staying with PSU today, and it's good to see Zettel keeping his word together. It'll bring these players together and give them an "us against the world" mentality that will be fun to watch.
PSU definitely just became my second favorite team, I'll cheer for these guys every game (except obviously when they play UM). They won my respect and then some with that press conference
I agree with Ducksworth (not quoting to avoid VIP). The statement from the seniors outside of Redd was great. And the media blitz by O'Brien was well done too.
I couldnt see any juniors or seniors (minus Redd) leaving anyway, but their strength should help keep the team focused. No reason for a senior/junior to turn his back on essentially family just to get one more bowl game with a bunch of guys you don't really know. The RS Frosh would be most likely to leave, IMO, just because they won't have a shot at all to play in the postseason. Doesnt seem like it will be significant loss of players though, which should help keep the team competitive which will in turn help recruiting through the sanctions.
Redd is actually a Junior, so that gives him more incentive to leave. It seems the RS freshman class is mostly staying. One said he's likely transferring, but the rest have said they're in minus one or two. Who knows who actually ends up staying or going, but things are promising so far.
Again, I (we) appreciate the sentiments here.
