He also didn't play much AAU ball, which in basketball seems like the place to be for rankings. Because of his lack of competition in AAU ball, however, I would assume he's poised for a redshirt. I'm happy with this pickup though, we need bigger bodies.

6'9" kid out of Florida. Had offers from OSU, Purdue, Miami, I think a few others. He's ranked low because he for some reason decided not to play AAU ball, but he's a really solid post player. Great back to the basket game and his face up game is steadily improving. Has decent range. Solid rebounder. This is a really nice pick up.

Trey Burke remains the favorite to win national POY per ESPN's final straw poll. He has led the last four straw polls with others moving around a bit right behind him. I don't want to jinx him (he really deserves this), but barring an epic collapse by him in the BTT or a very early exit from the NCAA, he is poised to win at least some if not all four of the major POY awards.

Tomorrow is the start of the postseason. Hopefully we make a run like Uconn where they won the Big East tournament and then the NCAA tournament. It was 11 games in a row I believe.

Yeah, but they had 9 points nearly 15 minutes into the first half. Minnesota should be killing Illinois and instead they will be lucky to pull out a W.
