I agree. I can't see how any guard/wing player who has legitimate interest in Michigan wouldn't be drooling to play for Coach B.

I think it's just a matter of getting some of these kids in for visits. Once their hoops seasons are over and we get them in here I think we will see a commit or two IMO. Vince Edwards was supposed to visit awhile back and didn't get to. Once they make it to a game....

Especially at Point Guard.
He made it to the NCAA Tourney without a scholarship point guard. Then he puts Darius Morris into the NBA, and Trey Burke will be in the NBA next year. That's a strong track record with Point Guards

So .... while trolling around the MSU boards reviewing recruiting news, I noticed the 'braintrust' at Spartyland started a thread dedicated to the UM/NW game. Odd? I guess not. Spartyland is obsessed with any and everything Michigan.
For laughs, I reviewed the MSU jealous comments against UM, and find the following:
"Jesus Christ, mods. It's bad enough during the UM game with all the Spartans jerking UM off.
Get rid of the trolls."
If you start a thread on YOUR board, talking about OUR (Michigan's) game, what do you actually expect?

I find it absolutely comical that one guy says Purdue is their biggest recruiting rival in the B1G. Then one guy says were not #1 it's just rhe B1G hyping Michigan. Then the guy that says MSU has the hardest schedule in the conference. Then the guy on the second page who says it's the refs fault

This Hammond kid for Purdue looks to have serious skills. If he stays next year Purdue could be pretty good.

I hope Michigan can pull it out on saturday at Assembly Hall. I will be at college game day anyone have any signs that they think would be good? note: I am an IU student so no signs were I will be getting my a$$ kicked. Also I grew up a Michigan fan since I was very little and even though I go to IU I could never change allegiances.

Wow, we would roll to the elite 8. Even at that point, our only chance at a loss would be Cuse or Miami. I don't think either of those teams hold a chance against us. Then if you look at the final 4, we would most likely play an exhausted FL or IU squad, where I would give us the advantage. That lower portion of the bracket is brutal .
If the final brackets are remotely reminiscent of this, I will smile.

I go to IU as well. I'm conflicted on who I want to win. Deep down I want Michigan to win, but one of the best nights I've ever had was when IU beat Kentucky.....

Michigan has to do everything possible to get the Indianapolis regional because that'll give us the opportunity to play both of our opening games in Auburn Hills.
That could make a potential 1/8 match-up a lot easier. Over the years, a number of #1 seeded teams have lost (or nearly lost) to #8 seeded teams. KU's shocking upset to UNI immediately comes to mind. I want every advantage we can get to get to the Sweet 16 (which would be Coach Beilein's first at Michigan).
From the Sweet 16 and on, it comes down to a combination of venues and match-ups. We should be one of the most prepared teams going into the NCAAT.
But the key is winning the B1G Regular Season Championship (hopefully outright) and then going deep into the B1G Tournament.
Winning both would guarantee the #1 seed in the Indianapolis regional.
