Here's to beating the out of ohio today.

Everything went wrong today. I can't think of one thing that went right. Our close shots rimmed out, the close calls went against us, etc.

They definitely won the game, that's why you play all 40 minutes, but I think we beat OSU 6 out of 7 times and today was their day. If we were to lose, this is how I would've wanted it: Dig yourself a deep ditch early, try to get out, almost do, come up short. Teaches us a lot and I expect we will show up for all minutes of every game here on out.

We will still be ranked in the top-5. We need to take the game at Minny on Thursday or I will become very pessimistic about our chances winning the B1G. This day is eerily similar to our win against the Buckeyes in Ann Arbor/commitmentpalooza last winter, but flipped.

Where many are quick to point out that we played terribly in the first 10 minutes, I can just as easily say that we were able to comeback because Ohio was inconsistent on offense.

Our inexperienced players lacked composure in the first 10 minutes and the final 3-5 minutes.

Notice that our guards and forwards/wings had to settle for (ill-advised) jumpshots in the final minutes of the second half.

If we would've had a strong post player that could go 1-on-1 against his defender and score reliably, it would've taken away pressure from our guards.

After Michigan tied the game at 46, Ohio used DeShaun Thomas and Evan Ravenel in the post. They both scored and pushed Ohio's lead to 50-46 and we never recovered.

Our guards didn't show poise in the final minutes which was clear given that our spacing on offense collapsed, we didn't have have good ball movement, and our players didn't run motion offense. Hence, we settled for long jumpers.

Given that Craft was making it very difficult for Burke to get penetration, I was surprised that we didn't use Burke as a decoy and run offense through Hardaway or Stauskas. We had a 7-3 foul advantage and we should've tried to attack the basket off of curls and weaves to force Ohio to foul in the mid-range.
