yeah it was manageable this past year with it being centralized in one thread and then having the seperate flame threads. But over here so far it's just leaked in to damn near every thread

I think the newness of your board will wear off over the next few months, obviously I can't speak for Spartans. I only come over here to chat with a few of your crew that I really like hanging with. I won't flame here unless just playful banter like above ITT. Come to my board and I will though, but it's all in good fun

I don't really care about deleting the posts. For me there are certain things that should not be allowed on our board. The rampant name calling for example is something i don't need to see here. I am talking about the scUM, meatchicken, Hoke is fat, dreadlock jesus, etc... crap that is used all the time. This is not bucknuts, tRCMB, or the Blue Board. If you are going to come and visit our board act like an adult please. The only other thing i would say is all the Urban Meyer is the greatest coach, recruiter, we should be so scared, etc... crap is getting old.

yeah i think you guys have done a good job modding this board so far. I don't think posts should be nuked/locked just because someone else has a different opinion than we do but the obvious trolling nonsense has to go.

I enjoy reading threads where there is back and forth, even with the OSU/MSU fans.

I think even the people that come here not just to troll but to endlessly debate on why Sparty or OSU is the greatest thing ever should be hit with the banhammer. This is our board to talk about Michigan football, not to hear a bunch of bucknuts or sparties rant redundantly argue the same points over and over. That stuff should go into one consolidated thread, but if it starts trickling into other posts those posters should just be warned, then banned. Iron fist.

I generally come here and just read, to try to get a different perspective. I do occasionaly like a little banter as well. However this post had me laughing, pretty much somes up the dialoge of those who are strictly fans, but have no knowledge to actually discuss football. Was truly funny. However you forgot one... M fan saying in response to bucknut urban line..... urban has health issues and will quit lol ... thx for the laugh

Blog Rule #1 Don't Feed the Trolls!!

I'm new to kinda new to 247 but I've blogged for many years. They only way you get rid of trolls is to ignore them. Banning doesn't work. They just come back under different accounts. All they're trying to do is get a reaction out of you. And if you react, then you've now give the troll power over you.

All the boards are the same:
- Everything our team does is classy and justified
- Everything the other team does is underhanded or out-right cheating
- Recruits are crazy if it's not obvious we're the best school and if they go anywhere else they deserve every bad thing they get
- ESPN hates us
- ESPN loves them
- It's ok to call the other school names but not ours

It's the age we live in and it sucks to have to filter through all the crap to get to posts of any substance. But I guess we're all here for our own reasons and, for a lot of people, it's just to piss on their digital neighbors.

i think that is spot on but you left out a big one.
