Elite safety Leon McQuay names top three

  • Thinking there's a good chance we get either Fuller or McQuay now right...? Right? RIGHT?

  • Note, looks like Michigan is in Alvin Bailey's top-three (didn't realize that till now). Anyway, Michigan is the only school to make both of their top lists. They're teammates.

Interesting, if the coaches go 2 more receivers, McQuay, SDE, it will be hard to complain.

Not having any of the Florida schools in his top 3 is HUGE.

Yup. That's what took me by surprise.

    Interesting. I didn't know this.

And AFAIK, Bailey still hasn't visited Michigan. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

  • How great would it be to add McQuay, Treadwell, and Bailey to this class?

    Answer: pretty DAMN great.

I couldnt agree more with you! I would love to add four WR's and adding Alvin would be a perfect fit for the slot. We already have what we need at CB and S so i think adding McQuay would be a perfect fit because he can play both. The last spot D-line or RB would be great either way. Personally i would like to add Green at RB but D-line might be more of a need. What an amazing class this is!!

I would love for Michigan to add a 4th. WR Paul Harris plus Treadwell or Bailey would be great.

Honestly, I think we have a serious shot at McQuay. As for Bailey, I would love to nab him. Has anyone heard if they are a package deal?

Treadwell I would love to have as well, but the longer this drags, the less confident I am with him. I thought I saw a tweet today about Oregon and him. He is in no hurry to give a commitment.

Someone mentioned it on mgoblog and we're of the three "warmer" teams on his profile.

I really think Treadwell would have already committed if things didn't fall through with Standifer. It wouldn't be the factor of having Standifer here but it has more to do with him seeing Standifer have to de-commit. I think that is making him be extra cautious on pulling the trigger.

He better hurry ... how long will the coaches hold a spot (supposedly) if other elite WRs step up and want the spot? Clock is ticking for a few kids at this point ....

He's had a top 3, 5, and now 7 in the last month. There was a 10 as well I think. These wernt official but based on various interviews. Michigan and a couple OK schools are the only constant. He hasn't visited OK yet as far as I know. IL and USC could be new adds. USC has a lot of top WRs on their board and limited spots. He seems to really like the M guys and coaches as friends. Someone will really have to sell him on something different.

Notably...no OSU. Well, Okie State, but you know what I mean lol

I get the feeling that the only positions they absolutely want to fill are WR and CB. After that, it is best available with 1/2 spots. So Mathis, etc better get a move on....

Yea I dunno man- wouldn't qoute me on that- I was doin lil Trollin few mins ago over at bucknutters . I came across that.. I was tryin to see if bucknuts were gonna say they pulled treads schollie that's why Ohio isn't in his top 7...

Absolutely. It's tough to say which school has the lead here because McQuay isn't big on interviews and keeps everything pretty close to the vest. Like you said, the music production program will definitely be huge factor in his decision and all three schools are strong in that area. McQuay is very impressive academically with a 4.0 GPA so you have to think Vanderbilt, being closest to home and known for academics, will be hard to beat but Michigan made a really good impression when he visited. We'll see what happens.

Come on Clint....wouldnt McQuay want to play with McCray......dat sh!t cray!!
