Dunn breaks bread with Michigan

  • I have been advocating for Wes Brown for a while. He has a great story to him and I like what he has shown on tape.

While I really really like Brionte Dunn, my optimism is beginning to decline.

Wes Brown basically dropped us because the coaches haven't been recruiting him hard... It's Dunn-or-the-scholarship-goes-to-another-position.

  • Clearly Bri'Onte is torn but seems to be warming up to the idea of a Meyer-led Buckeye career.

I'd love to have him after it appeared he bought into Hoke & Co. But, cest la vie. Onward and upward. No man is bigger than the program.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

So now word in Twitter universe is Dunn's no longer visiting here this weekend .. and wants to reschedule for sometime in January since he no longer wants to enroll early.

Meh .. it might be time to move on fellas. What do you guys think? Somebody get Wes Brown on the phone!

From what I heard, that was Michigan's idea. If it was Dunn's, then yes, I agree it would be a negative development.

Yep. Not a good sign, if true. It would be nice to have Dunn, but we'll survive.

Wes Brown is not considering us. He'd be great, but he's not interested.

Agree with this. It's not necessarily a bad thing yet. If he takes his OV, I think we're in good shape. If he doesn't eventually visit, then he'll end up at OSU.

Agree.. and after seeing Yuri Wright's tweets about how boring his last night in Colorado was, I was nervous about Dunn taking an official this weekend anyway. Students are either finishing exams or heading home for the holidays, so campus tends to be pretty dead. And no other official visitors could make for a pretty boring visit in terms of night life and hanging out. January, at the start of the semester, would be a much better time when students are getting back on campus and throwing early-semester parties.

The only reason to have Dunn come in this weekend was if that was when he had to come in and was going to be making his decision within the week. If he truly is not enrolling early, much better to have him back in January (assuming Ohio does not completely flip him back by then).

  • If it's not Dunn, then I don't think Michigan will take another RB.

  • If no Dunn, time to put a lot more steam into Isaac and company in 2013. We have Fitz and maybe one of the younger guys can step up into a nice role for us.

  • I know the Michigan universe looks at Dunn's delay in visiting as bad...I don't. I don't think it is a positive or negative. Once early entry was off the table, it really didn't matter when he visits. Delaying means little then. I think the situation is unchanged, with a flip of the coin determining where he goes. Clearly, neither Hoke nor Meyer have closed the deal.

  • And it seems that whoever gets him it won't be a game changer. It's just a game of keeping him from the other side. I just wish it would be over.

I have a feeling this is gonna go on until NSD.

Oh well...Like I have said in many other "Dunn" threads. We will be fine with the RBs we have now. We need Ty Issac next year and all should be good.

Could be a blessing in disguise. I had a feeling it was gonna drag on for far too long. He's a good power back. Too bad Meyer's never used one. Best of luck to him regardless. peace
