    Sure.

Part of the reason we blew the doors off of Florida (which isn't reflected in the final score) is that we ran a different system than the one UF/Meyer/Mattison+Strong prepared for.

We ran the Oklahoma spread passing (thanks to Brady's contributions to Scott Shafer) instead of our tradition pro-style.

Hence, UF's defense was confused when we went 5 wide and didn't really have an answer for it.

Kinda my point, just because Greg is a hell of a coach, and he is. It is foolish to lay all your eggs on the fact that he will always have all the answers.

I want make a point first in saying that I am NOT a pro spread/spread guy, but Oregon and RR have/had a similar problems -defense and recruit smallish speed players

Florida ran a Spread in 06-08 championship and a great defense, Auburn last year = same formula and beat some great defenses with bigger speed players. Just like our Pro-spread hybrid last year with a 6'6" QB that ran 4.3-4.4 speed and 240 lbs.

Oklahoma is another example. There are no guarantees in this game, not that Urban will be successful at OSU and not that Greg M. can stop him..... Like your HC likes to say "I don't know, I ain't the one playing the kids are"

You are also aware that Greg M was the DC at Florida when LLoyd beat them with RR influence incorporating some of the spread for that game during practice right?

    @FrankC

You sure about that? I don't think RichRod had one once of influence at practice. That team was all Carr's at practice and on the field until the day Carr was done.

No actually I ain't but Frank seems to agree with me that RR did have an influence.

you got the kid BEFORE Urban was hired.

Go ahead and take Thomas, Kalis, Scrotum this year, because I can guarantee you that you will NOT get any more top notch recruits from Ohio anymore.

And Remember skunkbears; without Ohio TSUN is nothing.

Bookmarked for Dave. I love guarantees.

You have to have the athletes to compete with the SEC and Stanford never even competes against Oregon! I love Michigan's coaches but can they get athletes two deep to compete against the top programs. It will take at least three recruiting class.

In head to head bowl game matchups since the inception of the BCS, the rest of the Big Ten if you remove Ohio State would have a winning record against the SEC (it actually may be exactly .500). I guess they just can't compete with the SEC.

  • Why wasn't Hoke at this visit? Maybe I'm wrong, but that's a pretty telling sign to me that Hoke's not wasting his time with Dunn because he knows he's staying with OSU.

Because Hoke can only go once. I assume he is trying to save the in-home.

Come on dude you are delusional if you think OSU was not the premier team in the Big Ten last ten years Tressel was coach! Times have changed the Big Ten is just not on the same level as the SEC. Maybe in the 90's but not now.

Who knows what he does but dissappointment among OSU fans is not one of them. Urban is going to unleash hell on the B10 and one recruit won't change what's coming.

Heart trouble and a stress-induced retirement in 2015? Sounds lovely.

Losing Dymonte will not hurt the OSU class of 2013. Great DB's will be coming from all over the country. I think this kid should refrain from some of things he he is saying about OSU. Okay to be pro team but players should stay classy.

Considering the fanbase you come from this post is hilarious.

Bri'onte there is no way Michigan has a chance of winning a national Championship the next four years but OSU does and you'll have a chance to get 20 carries a game during your career!

Says the guy whose team just went 6-6 this year, AND a spread system being implemented for now on. Yeah, Dunn will get those carries. lol

    You buckeyes crack me up.

Michigan is a year ahead of Ohio right now. Hoke has a full year of coaching this team and his recruiting.

Meyer's first season is next year. And doesn't even have a full years recruiting class yet.

But yes, Ohio has a better chance of getting there than Michigan. /s

I think Meyer picks up where he left off...7-5.

OSU did not get the young coach who won NCs, they got the burned out version who struggles despite having a lot of talent on his team.

Come on dude it is just one game when OSU has what ten years of butt kicking to boast about! Stay humble and be consistent before talking trash my friend! The Big Ten at this point is so weak 10-2 and 9-3 will be the norm for the top four teams for the next four years unless they play a tough non conference schedule and will continue to show poorly in Bowl games.

RR and Lloyd were on record that they had no discussion about game plan before that game. RR went on and said that was nothing like the spread. You got to love made up facts.

As for Meyer...it usually takes him at least a year to get going. 8-4 or 9-3 is reasonable next year. At least he has Braxton Miller, who should fit in nicely. But Bucknuts are fooling themselves if they think he is not going to run the spread.

You don't really believe that! With Urban this year OSU could have been 10-2 easy and maybe 10-1. Love Luke but he was not ready. Lost to Michigan by 3, Michigan by 4, Purdue by 4, Penn State by 6 and Nebraska by 6. Clearly he would have been good for at least one extra TD in those games. If you think a Braxton Miller offense is going to lose 5 games next year you are crazy! You also win with talent and Urban will recruit elite players. Speed it anyway you want but OSU will be very good as long as Urban is the coach!
