On Gameday on Saturday, he had some of the worst logic I've ever heard in my life. My housemates and I were flabbergasted that he actually said it.

I can't remember exactly what his words were, but he was arguing that the SEC was the best conference in the country and that FLorida being unbeaten in the SEC just showed how good they were. Then Jalen and Bilas disagreed, saying that the Big Ten was much better, and Digger responded by saying that the Big Ten could not be good because teams like Illinois and Minnesota have a bunch of conference losses after doing well in the OOC schedule.

WTF??? That's the opposite of how logic works. If Minnesota and Illinois were good in non-conference and start losing in conference play, that means that the conference play is harder. Which means that the Big Ten is better. What he said would only make sense if a team like Illinois got killed in the OOC and then ran the table in the Big Ten.

He's an idiot.

He said they were the most complete team in the nation and beating teams without breaking a sweat. You're playing in the SEC bruh...with a down Kentucky team. Get a f**king grip. SEC sucks this year...period.

Digger is just getting ready in case the SEC basketball coaches get the memo of cheating=championships then he can be on ESPN slobbing their knob like they do in football.

I know exactly what you're talking about I was thinking the same thing. Digger Phelps is along the lines of a Lou Holtz or, my personal least favorite, Tommy Heinsohn. They're former legendary coaches so they'll hold their positions on their respective networks as long as they want even while being the weakest link on their set and completely senile.

Eh they already got the memo at the one SEC school that is really into hoops (Kentucky). But at all the other SEC schools, even those that have good hoops teams from time to time, they'd happily kill the basketball program and sell the arena if someone promised them a football NC for it.

Florida is a good team, but clearly overrated. They are definitely a top 10 team, but I'm not totally convinced at this point that they are top 5 worthy. Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, and Duke should all be in the top 5, but who should get that 5th spot? There are a bunch of good candidates outside of Florida that have a worthy argument. Like what about Miami? They have been playing great basketball and probably have a better resume than Florida already.

And yes, I was watching the Differ Phelps comments last weekend. I don't think he was arguing the SEC is the best, just that the Big Ten isn't as good as many claim. Don't agree with him at all, but I think Florida's loss definitely negates his argument for Florida being #1, especially since Michigan already beat them this year.
