Detroit Cass Tech at Warren DeLaSalle Stream

  • Jourdan Lewis has impressed me a lot more than Terry Richardson to be honest.....

Not really fair to Richardson as he hasn't had many opportunities to make a play tonight.

  • Great throw by Morris there, underthrown a little

  • Cass Tech wins 6-0. The players around Shane are awful.

His offensive line, WRs, and defense are all horrible. I feel bad for him.

  • RJS was a horse on their scoring drive.

Seemed to be in on a lot of the runs. Looked good on D.

Morris needed help big time tonight and got none.

TRich was not tested at all.

Lewis was tested more and looked good. Great ball skills. Runs so effortlessly. Looks the part of a BCS caliber player.

  • like I said, Cass Tech would win. Cass just had way too much size up front and speed at WR and CB for De La Salle to handle.

    that defense isn't terrible.

Those WR's and OL are though.

  • Just like Mathis with Cissoko ahead of him, Hollowell with Mathis ahead of him, Richardson with Hollowell ahead of him... Now Lewis with Richardson ahead of him. The younger DB during the game is the one that always gets tested.

which kind of has me worried because.....

Cissoko was a flop that flunked out of Michigan, Mathis is already moved to WR at Oregon, and if there is any more attrition in the defensive backfield, my guess is Hollowell is a top candidate for that....

I am hoping Richardson is the exception and not the rule when it comes to Cass Tech players.....

Yes, some Cass Tech players have not done well. That has nothing to do with how Richardson will turn out. I'm really tired of people saying that he'll flop just because of that.

Some haven't done well? More like most haven't done well.

I am trying to think of one that has either met or exceeded expectations in the last decade. Only two come to mind. Vernon Gholston and Joseph Barksdale- neither of which went to Michigan.

Not trying to be a pessimist, just being honest. Learned to expect nothing from Cass Tech kids, that way, whatever you get out of them is a bonus and you feel great, and if they fail to meet expectations- ah well.

Ah, you're right, if some people from a school don't meet expectations, that means no one will. Sorry.

Thomas Gordon isn't good enough for you? Will Campbell with competent coaches isn't good enough for you?

Cissoko had A LOT of ability, just didn't have it upstairs.... How is it that Mathis has already been graded out as a failure, he still has 4 years to go (RS-Fresh)... Hollowell IS A FRESHMAN... Richardson IS STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL... Big Will, has not met expectations... but, he is finally playing a lot of downs and still has his SR year. Thomas Gordan, playing well.

    Don't agree with your assessment.

Why is Hollowell a top candidate? Kid has been putting in work on the field and in the classroom (per Hoke's recent update), and saw the field for the first time vs. Iowa on special teams.

  • Just got back from the game. WHAT A GAME clap In the end it was: "Cass Tech #1, second to none!" biggrin

Here are the stats of Michigan commits from tonight, and of potential commits in the future from both sides.
    OFFENSIVE
    Shane Morris (QB) 7/16 0-3 1 Fumble
    Jayru Campbell (QB) 8/15 0-0

    DEFENSIVE
    Royce Jenkins-Stone (LB) 5 tackles 0 INT 0 Sacks 1 Forced Fumble
    Terry Richardson (CB) 3 tackles 0 INT 0 Sacks 0 FF/FC 4 Pass Breakups
    J.D. Lewis (CB) 1 tackle 1 INT 0 Sacks 0 FF/FC 3 Pass Breakups
    Kenton Gibbs (DT) 3 tackles 0 INT 0 Sacks 0 FF/FC

Stats of note: Obviously, as we all know, Royce Jenkins-Stone did pretty good at RB. Scoring the game-winning touchdown in the end.
