if Morris played for FHH with Mario, Funchess, Burbridge and that crew- he'd be the #1 junior player in the country. No doubt about it in my mind. He is the total package. He has size, athletic ability, mechanics, accuracy, and arm strength. That kid is going to be a star in college.
Without him De La Salle would be a joke. De La Salle football was a joke before Shane Morris. They will be a joke after him.

If he played at OLSM with guys like Stonestreet and Woolen, he would be a monster too. Those guys can make people miss and try to make plays.
Not going to get too worked up if Morris doesn't have gaudy numbers. He just isn't surrounded by top adequate talent.

well honestly, you'd think that if a school like De La Salle really wanted to be a football powerhouse they could set up scholarships that include tuition, books, transport, lunch meals, etc., and actually try and recruit the Detroit PSL to get kids from King, Cass Tech, Renaissance etc., etc., or even Saginaw, Flint and Pontiac to come.
I don't know the MHSAA rules or anything like that- but I'd have to think if the alums and administration wanted to do that at De La Salle they easily could.
I don't know, hire great high school coaches and bring in say 15-20 kids a year from those areas and you very easily could have the best team in the state of Michigan.
I don't understand why an expensive private school in Michigan isn't already doing that.
