This is not catastrophic because of how strong our OL is the next two classes, but it still stings.
I think the coaches probably call up some of these guys like Pocic and see if there is interest, but it is unlikely they flip.
I think we simply take the best available and move on.

I disagree to. I think Dawson was honest, but he, like a teenager, changed his mind.
Wish him the best and move on.

People are wishing the best for him because there are things in life more important than recruiting. I have no idea why he made the decision but he did what's best for him and no one can blame him. Get over it dude this is part of college football recruiting.

He won't be riding the bench. Dawson is a stud who could start for ANY school in the country - even Alabama. I do think he is that good.

Lets not fool ourselves that Dawson is not one of the top 20 OL in the country. But so are every one of our OL recruits.
I wish Dawson the best. We will be fine. I have been saying for a long time we will have a couple decommits..again, just surprised it was THIS commit, that is all.

You could easily make the arguement that your staff has brought in better OL recruits than UF the last two years. Not sure why he'd ride the bench. Frankly, there's better talent on your OL.

hardly in a tough spot, have 4 other linemen who are as good or better and months til signing day. Not a great situation but the future OL will survive

If there's a positive side to look at, it's that the coaches have proven they can do more with less, so any "downgrade", at least in terms of rankings, will play to his full potential.

I get the impression that if UF had struggled this season (like last season), then Dawson does not go on this visit.
But it seems that UF's meteoric rise in year 2 under Muschamp sparked his interest once again.
