he's been talking to derrick green on twitter on how michigan fans are bashing him and they need to grow up. looks like he is trying to negetave recruit michigan right now. Michigan fans are not the one that need to grow up, he does. he's been pulling immature kid moves this whole week. Honestly, I'm happy he is gone. He's really immature and wants things his way. that would not go well with our coaches if he was on the team. we are loaded at OL and 2014 OL class looks like it's going to be another great one.

Having the Gators as my second favorite school, I'm a bit unsure why the Gators would still be interested in Dawson if the stories of his sliminess are true. I don't follow Gator recruiting and haven't been to the Gator boards, but what little I have heard is that Muschamp was making it a big deal to look for high character recruits. The Gator coaches have to know about the alleged sliminess since according to the story it was someone close to the Gators who informed Michigan's coaches.

Ok so can someone fill in the blanks for me. I am trying to figure out how this all went down as I confused.
1. Commits to Michigan that weekend we got 8 commits 2. At the Opening he discusses possibly camping at Florida. Coaching staff calls him up to clarify that would be a visit and would not count as a commit. Doesn't camp at Florida. 3. This is where I get confused. Did we get tired of him flirting with Florida and straight pull his scholarship then he visited Florida? Did he say he was going to visit so we no longer consider him a commit? I know a Florida coach let our coaching staff know of his intention to visit, did our coaching staff not like hearing it from someone else and pulled his scholarship? 3.5) Michigan 'fans' blast him on twitter. These people, I do not like them. 4. He visits Florida, doesn't commit. 5. Top 5 now includes OSU and MSU.
I was surprised at him not committing to Flordia and I assumed that was the school he was going to as he dropped us for them. Did something happen and now he is basically without a school and looking at OSU and MSU seriously because we dropped him? I'm just confused about all of this. Any clarity would be appreciated.

I LOVE the way our Coaches go about their business.
1. This is Michigan and we are moving forward 2. We want you to move forward with us ( to recruits) 3. Take your time and think about it, because when you commit to us, we commit to you. 4. ANY RECRUIT that thinks they are that good and they are bigger than the program and doesnt follow no.3, You are done and we are on to the next one.
Message to the world, they say what they mean and the mean what they say.
LOVE IT!

I think you have it all down perfectly. There are only three possible reasons he didn't commit to UF:
1. The visit didn't go as well as expected by one of the parties 2. The visit went well, but he doesn't want to make a second commitment without visiting other schools first 3. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knows he screwed up and is hoping he can mend fences and recommit to UM

I don't think he was particularly sold on Florida or any other school when he decommitted.
He is very competitive, and I think he wants the recognition and stature of a big offer list. I don't think he could handle hearing all the stories about staffs and programs fawning over recruits at or below his own level and stay content as a settled commit.

We all need to just move on... Dawson and Michigan are no more, end of story. Kid can go wherever he pleases.... And it won't bother me one way or the other if he picks state. Poor kid missed out on a golden opportunity, and he now has to live with it.
