I found the Bosch and Dawson exchange for those asking...

***TomVH Tom VanHaaren RT @RecruitingESPN: Kyle Bosch on Dawson: "He's been talking about decommitting. If he does, we'll move on. One guy doesn't make a class."

    ****David Dawson ‏@D3_MrUnderated_

That tweet that was indirectly about me and disrespectful but idgaf! I'm #1 guard in the nation that's all ic about #GoBlue

Dawson just sounds like an angry, immature kid.

Word is he was openly talking about de-committing at The Opening and Bosch called him out.

Well, I think Bosch just became my favorite 2013 recruit.

Apparently, Dawson doesn't know who Ira Denson is or hasn't met him.

IMO, Denson is the top OG in the nation.

I hope he realizes that the industry composite has him pegged at the #7 guard in the nation. But I understand he is going off from ESPN because they have him rated the highest.

  • Lets not all get silly. If he was still ours, we'd love him and probably rate him higher than Denson.

  • Honestly I think Bosch is better, and Fox is right there as well. That said Dawson is in the top 10 at his position, so it's like like he's not talented.

I just think he let this #1 Guard thing go to his head. I think UF gave him a quick dose of reality.

I think the whole SEC gave him a quick dose of reality. Remember right after Michigan dropped him he named Florida, Alabama, and LSU his leaders? Then after his Florida visit he dropped all of them and in spite named Michigan's two biggest rivals in his top group? He obviously wasn't shown much love at Florida.

I'm willing to bet he regrets losing his spot at Michigan.

I think he already regrets it. MSU, OSU, and Wiscy as his leaders? He knows he messed up, and the SEC isn't the place for him, but he already burned his bridge at the one B1G program he actually wanted to be a part of.

There is no doubt he regrets it. Being that he is very immature even for his age the only way he knows how to act is to act out like a little kid who didn't get his way. Like the kid in the grocery store face down on the floor screaming because his mom wouldn't give him a quarter for the gum ball machine.

Although a big part of projection is how a kid acts. If a kid acts mature like Kugler, Bosch, Fox, and LTT and they are passionate about their school, they're more likely to succeed than a kid who flip flops and obviously has a screw loose.

That said, I definitely had Dawson above Denson when he was committed.

  • I got called out for calling this kid a punk and now it seems like a concensus. Could really care less where he meanders off to now that he lost his spot. I'm sure there have been busts from 1-10 in every position, and he isn't starting out with to many pros in the boom column IMO.

  • Guys, I think we all should pull back a little on the language when discussing Dawson. Everyone's somewhat bummed by the situation and also by some of Dawson's twitter comments, but just like we want him to ignore stupid tweets being sent his way we should do the same. Calling 17 and 18 year old kids names is not who we are as Michigan alumni and fans.

Note: This is not directed at anyone in particular, just a general comment after reading through the entire thread.

I was bummed when it first happened, but now, I don't want him back under any circumstances now that I know what his true personality is. Don't want guys like that on the team.

  • everyone should go over to scout and listen to Sam Webb interview Cass Tech's coach Thomas Wilcher. He talks about David and what happened. He sums it up pretty good. I have made some comments about Dawson since he was released from his scholarship, but i agree we need to let it go and let the kid do was he has to do. He has been through some hard times. Wilcher says he thinks Dawson will regret his decisions and how he handled his Michigan commitment. He never mentioned Damon Webb and Michigan but what he says about him makes it sound like Michigan is the team to beat. Man, you gotta love how he is decked out in Michigan gear from head to toe! With him at the helm at Cass, we will get 9/10 guys we want every time.

A few months back I mentioned that (in my opinion) Ira Denson was the best OG in the nation.

Denson is the classic example of immovable object.

  • Really good player and wish he would have thought this through... But, he is entertaining in showing us how salty he is at the Michigan coaches...Can't see this being patched up and would be disappointed in the coaches if they let him back... Hope he is happy with his choice.

Ha. No. Dawson made a mistake, and he is gone. Everyone should really move on. We have the chance to nab 3 elite players by NSD in LT, DG, and LM III. Also, we have a 4* 2013 OL recruit looking at us.

    Life is good.

  • I don't miss Dawson either...but heck, let him do whatever at this point. Kid will have to live with his decisions, and no reason for us to pile on him.

I'll agree...if he stops talking smack. If he continues to be a negative presence and refuses to recognize his own role in this mess (talking about how Michigan did him wrong? Please.), I think it's open season, and I think the other commits all recognize that too. People like Taco and LTT have already taken multiple jabs at him.
