Damien Harris or Mikey Weber

  • Well I made a mistake entering in my original answer...

    So

Who would you rather have? Damien Harris or Mike Weber? Both look terrific right now, but they are just entering their junior years.

Any thoughts if we could get both?

I don't think you meant to make this comment its own topic.

Yeah sorry about that, thought of a quick question that has been bugging me!

  • Don't worry, I've made the same mistake before.

As for your question - I think there is a real chance we take both. In fact, I think the coaches are planning on only taking 1 RB this year so we can take 2 next cycle.

Gun to my head scenario and I could only take one. I would take Damien Harris. Rabids already got this covered though, because we are going to take both.

  • Harris is the superior prospect and I don't think it's that close.

  • If I had to choose, I'd say Harris, but fortunately, I don't have to. As is evidenced by our 2013 class, we can easily take two excellent RBs in one class. By that point, they'll know what kind of a ridiculous OL they'll be running behind, and they'll probably only have 1 RB in the class ahead of them to compete with.

Here's to getting both and having another absurdly talented two-headed monster at RB.

Ya I see Harris as a must get prospect...and Weber as gravy. But how I do love mashed potatoes and GRAVY.

  • Personally I like Harris better but think the Weber commit would be bigger in the large picture. High level prospect from a "pipeline" who has played against some pretty good talent.

  • At this point it's Harris, and it's not even close.

Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.

  • I think it's Harris if I choose one or the other. Hoping we can snag both.

The prospect of an Alabama type offense with 2 or 3 amazing and interchangeable running backs makes me jizz my pants.

I think our coaches are using Bama as a template and hopefully showing these backs that there can be numerous guys that get carries and can be successful. I think you can also promote that to recruits by showing that keeping their carries around 15-18 instead of 25-30 a game will keep them more fresh for their potential NFL career.
