    Although he won't commit, it definitely doesn't mean Michigan can't grab the lead and keep it throughout his recruitment. Hand knows what he is looking for in a school and if Michigan meets though wants/needs there is no reason Michigan can't become the standard for the schools he's looking at.

    agreed ...... I see the Hand recruitment running till NSD or alittle before .... I will start to get excited if we are in the top two by start of fall practice.

    I wouldn't be surprised to see him decide sometime in December/early January after his official visits, but he could always wait it out until NSD. He doesn't seem like the kind of kid to do the whole hat dance of ESPN thing though.

    I can see this one as well. I see it as a Thanksgiving to NSD decision - with closer to NSD. This goes out the window if he is blown away by a school over the course of the next 4-6 months. I do not see him as a 'hat selection' kid either .... will do a stealth commit IMO.

    I thought I read it was one of his dreams to do the hat thing on ESPN

    I think you're thinking of somebody else. Rivals recently had an update on Hand, and his coach John Harris said he would be really surprised if Hand did the hat dance.

    Call me crazy but I would not be shocked if Hand committed Sunday or Monday. UM is everything he is looking for in a school. Great football, great academics, great coaches and a family atmosphere. He should commit now because he knows UM is where he wants to be.

    Yeah, he specifically saidbhand would just call tbe coaches as soon as he knew. No waiting or nothing special

    In a sales pitch, you have the introduction, you create value, and then you close. For the past year or however long, they've been doing the introduction. Now that he's on campus, they're creating value. The close is saved for the summer or official visit IMO.

    There's almost nothing on the ground. Maybe a half inch layer everywhere. Take it he hasn't seen much snow. I just walked to Stadium Kroger and back in a light jacket and tennis shoes.

    He's not a hat pick kind of kid.

    The timeline I've always been told is that he'll go for that "when it feels right" type thing. Fluid, but could happen if he feels comfortable somewhere. Not happening this weekend.

    IF we believe Va Tech and UM are tied at the top ... and ...
    IF Hand is 'blown away' this weekend .... and ....
    IF Va Tech cannot step it up ....

    Is a BBQ commit possible? I still think he goes till the holiday period ..... but he does seem a tad bit different with his recruitment ...

    Thanks. I assumed such but wanted to ask the expert. Our two best games will be ND or OSU - both undeafeted teams in 2012 and both rivals. If we could get him on campus for just one of those games - and win, ...
