One particular aspect of Bryan Mone's visit to Michigan impressed him the most. Click inside to find out what Brady Hoke told the offered 2014 defensive tackle.

  • Did we sign Houma, at a position of need, to get this beast? I'm thinking so.

Very possible, but you also need a handful of kids like Houma on every team. He committed at a position where he clearly doesn't need the spotlight and just likes to go out there and hit people. Proven by his ability to play regularly on special teams as a true freshman. I think Kerridge has locked up the FB position for a couple years, but Houma is going to be out there playing 12 games a year making tackles and eventually get his shot on offense too.

  • Schools do that a lot but Houma was a good player coming out of high school and Highland has a good program that has produced some D1 players so I'm sure taking a player from Highland is a good thing for the future as well.

  • Is Mone this years Conley or Stribling? The coaching staff identified him early before anyone else, was the first to offer, and now teams will show interest significantly after the fact.

There are definitely some similarities here, as you pointed out. But outside of his current offers, Bryan doesn't think anyone else is that close to offering, so it may be some time before we find out how big his recruitment gets.

  • Todd have you had a chance to watch Mone's film? If so what's your take on him.

Its very early, and the significant interest after the fact I was speaking of was geared towards sometime his senior year
