  • Check the recruiting classes going back 10 years. Michigan always takes at least 2 RBs every year. These guys get lots of touches, so they're prone to injuries, they could transfer, flame out or who knows what. It's too vital of a position to only have one in each class. That's another reason why I don't like that there isn't a QB in this class.

    Especially true this year when we have an injury prone back, one that isn't big enough for the style the coaches want to play, one who is more of a FB and fumbles, and two unknown quantities.

    I love grabbing Johnson now, regardless of If we could've got him in January. It tells him the coaches are serious about him and should motivate him even more. You make a kid feel like a fallback option and it can sometimes make them work like one.
