Do you actually think the RCMB represents most Spartans? Seriously? Is your grasp of reality truly that limited?
I'll assume it is until some sort of counter evidence is displayed.
"If you want to be the Man, then you have got to BE the Man." -- CA Sparty's Dad
Your first post said my points were baseless. When I provided actual document proof with links to information I proved my point and outmaneuvered you.
Your attempt to say I'm claiming "nu-uh I was right" is a weak attempt to re-frame my intellectual victory over you. A typical tactic by a wal*verine and indicative you lack the mental sophistication of an actual alum.
Regarding Vietnam - read the link, UMAA was part of the radical violence against our military: We've since learned that there are productive ways to vehemently oppose military policies. You take it up with your politicians. Most Vietnam troops were drafted or had little choice in going. They were just doing their job. Burning military ROTC buildings on the UMAA campus, spitting on troops coming home, and calling troops baby killers puts the University of Michigan on the wrong side of history.
As far as not addressing my points and not documenting your points, you've done neither. I win. Quod erat demonstrandum.

Hmmm you might be onto something there...
Gringo Mafia Sergeant at Arms - 5 time POTW
This thread is adorable
To be fair, we are all a bunch of ass holes.
Whatever helps you sleep at night, junior.
Regardless of the fact that my sarcasm went whooshing over your head faster than MSU's Rose Bowl chances went down the toilet this year, your fellow MSU fans have called me a "piece of shit," a "weenie," and a "dick," all without me calling a single person any names. If my refusal to sink to your levels is an indictment of my character and class, then convict away.
I also don't see why you're so upset about a thread that you perceive as an "extended attack on MSU." It's not like the thread was started by a neutral observer or anything. Also, it's not like your homeboard has played host to recent threads with titles like "Watched a room full of scUm dreams die tonight," "Brett Bielema is a d-bag," "OSU conspiracy," and the succinct, ever-so-classy "Fuck Michigan."
That's why I have a problem with your fanbase. You're all insane. This is how I think it happened.
It's like growing up in LA rooting for the Clippers. All growing up you think the Clippers are the end all be all in the city of LA......until you get a little bit older and start to realize some things. You start looking around a little more and see more and more Lakers fans. Lakers are on TV alot more than you thought. You start to hear people talk about how great the Lakers are a little more. When that little kid in you tries to tell people how great the Clippers are you get laughed at.
Then after a while your bitterness towards the Lakers turns to hatred and jealousy. You begin to lash out the older you get. Until one day those feelings simply engulf you and it is who you become as a fan.
Perhaps if you were on the RCMB more, you'd understand. But you have little reason to visit the site, so you're not educated on the oft-intentional misspelling of the word which stems from the humor of it's unintentional misuse by trolling parties.
If you are just judging our whole fanbse off tRCMB that isn't really very accurate. Definitely the lunatic fringe and it is the internet.
Document proof? Of what? You only provided a list of MSU's campuses and an article that mentioned Michigan exactly once, saying that ROTC buildings were damaged. That article didn't explore the motivations behind the damage to the Michigan buildings in the least, and you completely ignored my response to your points about the military. If you want to trash me for not citing everything in my post, you should take a look in the mirror.
It's hilarious that you're calling me a Wal*verine and saying I lack the mental sophistication of an alum. Not only are you outing yourself as an idiot by using that term without actually knowing where I went to school, but your premature declaration of "intellectual victory" is just a joke. Your claims of "self-evidence" are nothing more than an evasive attempt to get around my actual arguments. It's the college student equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU."
Finally, I'd rip into your wild misuse of Q.E.D., but suffice it to say that that phrase should be used following a demonstrated proof - pretty much the antithesis of your post.
Ah yes, the ever-popular "junior" retort. Sweet.
Nothing you posted went over my head. Nor am I responsible for the posts of others as you suggest so oddly. Nor am I upset in the slightest. I came over here to take a look at this cute MSU bashing thread and couldn't resist toying with you once you went to the trouble of insulting yourself.
Carry on cheering for a school with which you have no affiliation. They do have "awesome" helmets after all.
edit- btw the proof that I understood your sarcasm lies in the fact that the part of my original post that you chose to ignore directly addressed your oh-so-clever sarcastic barb.

Please go back and address my edit. You missed it. I called you and all University of Michigan people radicals who spit on Vietnam troops and called them baby killers while trying to burn down military buildings on the UMAA campus. There are more productive ways of vehemently opposing military policies: You take it up with your politicians. Your actions puts the entire University of Michigan community on the wrong side of history.
The few message boards I've been to like Red Cedar and Rivals are precisely why I decided to create this topic. It's all I see on the Internet from the majority of your fan base.

tRCMB is Spartan fans' 4chan. Tread lightly.
Yeah, I guess you're right, I mean, a 4-generation legacy is obviously "no affiliation." Then again, maybe the only reason I root for them is the helmets! It couldn't possibly be watching Charles Woodson live when I was 9 years old. It clearly couldn't have been the maize-and-blue themes of every family reunion I've ever attended. It also couldn't be my family's status as descendants of one of the members of the first class of the Delta Gamma sorority at Michigan. Must be the helmets.
I got banned for starting a thread asking if MSU was considered a football or basketball school. Would you call that wacked out?
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here - your mixed tenses don't exactly lend themselves to a coherent reading of your post.
However, if you're being sarcastic as to the "baby killer" reference, that's understandable. If you're serious, I'd like to quote the article to you:
"In the Vietnam era, hostility toward ROTC programs soared as the war's casualties increased and reached a height when U.S. troops were sent into Cambodia in 1970. Student protesters occupied ROTC centers at many colleges, and fires and explosions damaged the program's buildings at the University of Michigan, Kent State University and the University of Colorado."
Not only does that article say nothing about spitting on troops or calling them baby-killers, it doesn't even say that it was Michigan students who set the fires or caused any explosions.
Regardless, I'd rather be part of a university that protests the unnecessary killing of U.S. soldiers than one that stifles dissent on the same subject.
From protests about MSU professors being paid to conduct undercover work for the CIA in Vietnam to protests against “hours” required of female students, the popularity of rallies, marches and sit-ins was growing rapidly in the late 1960s, said Bert Garskof, an American Thought and Language, or ATL, professor dismissed from MSU in 1966.
Apparently anything and everything is a perceived slight. Even this thread is probably being viewed as a "bashing" thread.
Only the ones that act the way that I've spelled out (i.e. attacking people and questioning where they went to school completely unprovoked) should be offended by this thread.
Simple answer, Yes Michigan State's inferiority complex is really that bad. It's evident in the way they conduct themselves. The attacks against Michigan, and the belief that they are of the same rivalry level as Ohio State vs. Michigan. So yes, It's that bad.
Oh, this thread is being viewed as worse than just a "bashing" thread...
I found this entertaining.
I didn't even know that thread existed until now, thanks.
I did read something funny on there..."dollar store domer." Never heard that one.
Maybe b/c I didn't grow up in Michigan so I don't care as much, but as a graduate from MSU I don't concern myself with Michigan much. I concentrate on my school and the teams we're playing each week, if it happens to be Michigan then, yes, screw 'em! But that changes week to week or game to game.
I was reading through it. Such hate on that board. It seems hate is all MSU fans have left...
Once RichRod left, the window for MSU's success in the B1G shrunk considerably. Once Hoke wrapped up a top-10 class, and then followed that up by securing a top-5 class the next year, the window shrunk even more.
On top of that, Hoke's classes have come from securing the vast majority of the top in-state talent. MSU snagged Burbridge in 2012, but Hoke got 8 of the top 10 Michigan players last year. MSU recognizes that their only real successful run in the last 50 years came from RichRod's miserable coaching and recruiting strategies that allowed top Michigan talent like Will Gholston and Jonathan Hankins to escape UM. Now that Hoke's proven he can not only grab up all the top Michigan talent, but can also take top talent from Ohio and across the country, the talent gap is once again tipping back towards UM.
