Headed to Ft. Collins tomorrow night for a beer run. Hoping to check out Funkwerks' taproom too.
Was a fool and wasted $1.50 on a 211 lager and hated it. While grocery shopping picked up a 12 pack of BL Platinum, nothing fancy this time around.
Ha, I've had the Steel Reserve 211. Cheap stuff but it packs a punch.
Yea Steel Reserve. Forgot the full name
What I picked up in Ft. Collins today:
Jolly Pumpkin La Roja
Stone Cali-Belgique IPA
Stone Espresso Imperial Russian Stout
Dieu Du Ciel Peche Mortel
Port Older Viscosity
Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale
Boulevard Dark Truth Stout
Funkwerks Tropic King Imperial Saison
Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout
12 pack of Odell 90 Shilling Ale
Wow, some great choices. Love the La Roja, Cali-Belgique IPA, RuinTen, and Tank 7. It's interesting how Jolly Pumpkin seems to have a bigger distribution range than Bell's.
"You come at the king, you best not miss."
I'm looking forward to drinking all of them, but the La Roja, Peche Mortel, and Older Viscosity are the ones I'm really excited about trying.
Not liking the Cali-Belgique as much as some of you guys. I'm glad to be trying it and it is interesting, but I won't be going back to this one.
Then we can no longer be friends sir. Just kidding. I love the stuff; adds a little something to a regular IPA, and love Belgian style ales. But everybody has different tastes.
I love IPAs and Belgian style ales, but I don't prefer this mixture. I'm not saying that this isn't good, it is. However, it's not something that I prefer.
What did that all cost you??
Not bad considering what I got. This will be my 2-3 week beer supply, and then I'll head back down to Colorado to re-up.
I'm having this tonight.
I'm tired, but really glad others are enjoying great beer like me. Slainte folks!
howd you feel about this? ive seen this at my local beer stop. but im not a big fan typically of fruit involved in beers. should i give a few a chance?>
The morning after Brewersfest
It's really a dessert beer. Very sweet.
I've had the Maredsous 8 and 10 before but this is my first time trying the 6. Same great taste but more drinkable.
I wasn't a fan at all.
Belle's Third Coast Beer to accompany my pizza tonight.
I'll be having Jolly Pumpkin La Roja tonight.
