And ... DR played with an arm that has partial feeling due to nerve damage. Coaches limited him.

Michigan had no business being up against the 'mighty' SC team of the 'famous' SEC .... 1 missed sack made and you lose.
Ya he tried to throw that one play for like 5 yds but it didn't happen. I like him at running back honestly.....he is pretty good for only doing it for a few weeks. Hope an NFL team gives him a chance

For goodness sakes it wasn't a Hail Mary. Anyone with a remote amount of football knowledge knows it.
I'm not in favor of fans coming to a thread and running their mouths (unless it's against TaterTech) like that guy but c'mon. It was a well thrown ball made with a guy about to nail him. Not a Hail Mary.

Meh, perks of being a top academic school in the north?
Guess this was out of the ordinary. Team with the ugliest cheerleaders normally wins. Unwritten rule.
It wasn't a hail mary, just a blown coverage.
Jabreel Black has to feel like crap, he sacks Shaw and it's most likely game over.
Didn't mean to up vote this post. My bad....Clowney is a freak but he didn't have a great game today other then that hit on Vincent Smith.
I haven't seen any of our fans saying that. We were definitely VERY close to losing that game. Sanders was the player of the game for sure. Clowney was held in check most of the game, but obviously had a huge play that turned the game around.
Way to many "almost" and "ifs" in this thread though! It was a great game that could of gone either way.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
The play with Clowney was at least two missed assignments leading him to a wide open run into the backfield. Bad play more then great play imo.
Saying that, Clowney probably should be a point of emphasis on every snap because that could happen, this happens way to often with the OL this year
Against an opponent not on par with SC.
"We're here to preserve democracy, not practice it." Go Army! Go Blue!
The thing is, why would you come over and try to tell us that? Just to gloat?
Come over and talk shit, pay the price. You have your own board if you want to talk shit about us, why do it over here?
He didn't win that game because his forced fumble didn't lead to the game-winning score.
For sure. I have no beef with Carolina, well-played game by both teams.
I thought everyone knew it's the winning team's right to be a bunch of twats to the losing team, especially after close games. At least, that's what Bucknuts taught me...
Hey CMXI I resemble that remark! Lol
In all seriousness, great game by both squads, bounce here a made FG there, a pass on target and the game could have truly gone either way. I was more impressed with this bowl loss then the bowl win last year against VA Tech, Michigan is getting better on both sides of the ball, they really need playmakers on offense (WR & RB ), and need to load up on corners and d-line so they don't have to rely on the blitz to get pressure. I am very happy seeing DRobs last game! Now off to the recruiting wars! Hold your heads up high, your team played well today!
Clowney would be the no.1 pick in the draft this year if he were eligible. Most experts believe he would've been top 5 after his freshman year. He WILL BE the no.1 pick in the 2014 draft. To me that makes him the best player in the country.
It turned the game man. Michigan had just converted a fake punt, had the lead and a ton of momentum. Clowney's play was electric. It wasn't just a TKFL and caused fumble it was a statement in response to what had just happened to the Gamecocks. They felt the refs had screwed them..Thats when a 5 star no.1 draft pick is supposed to impact the game. The kid made a huge play. Get over it. He did the same thing against Tennessee after they had supposedly handled him all day. He makes big plays at the right time.
Clowney made a big play, one of the bigger ones in the game, he's a freak athlete. Nobody argues with that.
You said "Clowney won the game" which is pretty stupid given he was on the bench when the game was decided. Turning point? The last play Clowney was on the field for was Gardner throwing a TD pass putting Michigan up.
The more I digest the game today the more I get upset. Not about this game but the OSU game. The play calling today was about 100% better then the OSU game. I realize that we had a month to prepare for this game compared to a week but seriously we couldn't do some of this stuff against OSU?
I agree. Losing feels bad but on the bright side the coaching staff put together a solid plan to win and nearly pulled it off with what at the moment is a lesser team. I'm excited for the future and think today is an indicator that Michigan is on the rise. They've come a long way from being soundly blown out by Bama. USC might not be Bama but they are an impressive in their own right. The downfield accuracy of Connor Shaw was surprising. I didn't really expect us to compete in this game with the roster we have. The lack of talent in secondary really cost us today. The attrition from the RR era and lack of recruiting the required talent at the WR and DB spots was a major reason we didn't pull it out today. There are a number of true freshmen making plays right now that will only get better. The DL doesn't have much of a pass rush because we didn't land a pass rusher over the RR era. The team played well today and just fell short at the end. It's a hell of a lot better than being embarrassed like most of the national media said would happen. Today we went toe to toe and went the distance against some very good competition with this young team. We might have won last year but we had a better OL, DB's combined with the fact that both the officials and VT gift wrapped the game for us. It wasn't as impressive as today. I'm excited for next year. Next year will be the first year in a very long time I feel we can hang with the big boys.
