Here come all the incest SEC fans slobbering on Clowneys nuts
That sucks guys...shit I would be pissed too..but you guys had a great game and you guys showed the B1G is on the way back
When everyone runs out...we run in. Support your firemen.
Oh come on, it's not Mattison's fault if guys don't wrap up for sacks and if our safeties blow coverages. Mattison is an excellent coach, don't blame him for the players' mistakes, he's putting them in a position to succeed.
NICE BOWL GAME WIN
Congrats to SC.
That said, I think missing Floyd in the secondary really, really showed. We didn't blow this many coverages all year, did we? SIGH.
Oh well, I see a lot of hope for next year.
That is all. If we get the sacks on Shaw it would had been game. Onto recruiting now and 2013.
Seriously, the guy made one big play all game. Lewan just earned himself a whole lot of money in the draft, he neutralized Clowney for most of the game. Clowney had 4 tackles, no sacks.
Inability to tackle a qb or cover in the secondary costed the team big today. Hopefully Countess and whoever replaces Kovacs fix that problem.
What? Is it Mattison's fault the DL, who are much larger than the QB, could bring the QB down? Is it his fault that Kovacs decided to watch the football cruise over his head before turning around to run back?
I am disappointed but not to upset with what happened today. Our defense still doesn't have the talent it needs to compete with the very best teams. I do feel we are are going to be better defensively and offensively next year so that is something positive.
this loss sucks even as a buckeye fan, but the only thing that shouldnt be said is your comment, because he is a MAN. i hate this loss but Clowney will dominate his opponents for years to come
Nobody will talk about that we had them by the balls, that the odds of them winning this on a field goal were pretty low, that all it took was a sure thing sack to probably end this. They'll talk about the SEC winning two more, about Clowney being a monster (Clowney who really was gameplanned out of the game 99% of the time).
One play. It was seriously one play.
This. Our d-line is average at best right now, our safeties are pretty unathletic and slow, and our corners are undersized second stringers. Mattison did a good job today imo.
Inability to get the qb to the ground on the last drive killed UM, and obv 2 busted coverages and a pr
How anyone could pick anyone but Ace Sanders as player if the game is beyond me
That was a beautiful play call on that play. We got to him a second too late. The plan was to take them out of fg range. If we wrap up twenty other times during the game then that play isn't possible. We have no speed and that was the problem on that play in the secondary. Wide open! Didn't make any plays in the secondary. Mcquay anyone?
Secondary is poor and needs LOTS of help. Amazing why LM III does not choose Michigan now. He would start next year.

Agreed, poor execution and tackling late cost us the game. Not Mattison.
I don't understand your response in relation to what I said?
Poor secondary - period.
And then on your next drive he blew up Denard.
PS One play? One play directly after the refs screwed up a first down call in your favor. Clowney took the game into his own hands and blew up that play and recovered the fumble. If that didn't happen do you think SC would have gone on to win?

the changing point in the game though. wouldnt you say? great game though!
Dominate? Michigan just gave a perfect plan for how to neutralize Clowney. Clowney made one huge play at the right time, but didn't do anything else. If Smith doesn't fumble that ball, then Clowney is effectively completely taken out of the game. 4 Tackles, 0 sacks, 1 TFL doesn't exactly scream domination.
Honestly, if we had Blake C. this game would have been won by 2 TDS for Michigan. Need your playmakers.
I didn't think that Jarrod Wilson looked like a liability back there. I think safety should be improved next year.
