This team has just had no toughness to this point in the year. Simple as that. Gotta be tough to play in the Big 10. Having Morgan back does help but we're getting handled inside
Ill say this, something has gotta change about the way this team comes out to play on the road. Seems like they dont give a S#@& about this game. On the other side State is ready to go.
Freshman. No surprise. Burke needs to control tempo and game much better. For being a touted star, he has not shown it the last 4 games. He needs to carry the team here.

We lack hustle and toughness, we never get the loose balls
They do give a shit, the problem is that they don't know how to handle the combination of "opponent makes shots, crowd is in it, opponent plays tough, physical D" which admittedly *is* the toughest to handle but the way out is usually hard work on D, physicality on offense to get foul calls that lead the opponent to back off a bit. But they just can't do it. The team is just built all sizzle no steak at this point.
Robinson and Albrecht had opportunities there, not once did either look to shoot.
Coach B is far too intelligent to allow this team to come out like this for every road game. Need to adjust the game planning for the first half of games, or Michigan will continue to struggle in these kind of games.
3-10 thus far from 3-pt range. Defense is atrocious again. Absolutely atrocious. We look lame out there right now. No team that looks like this is going to win anything in March.
"We're here to preserve democracy, not practice it." Go Army! Go Blue!
Whoever created the title of this thread has gotta feel pretty stupid tonight. I don't get why Izzo's teams come in underrated and overlooked every single year. Still think Michigan is better but still
Man, at least seeing the closeups of those fans at the end, they definitely are the dumber half of the state, it's like they are breeding an army of Bret Bielemas and bimbo trophy wives for him out there.
They will play better on neutral court. Already showed this early in season. But, this is not a final four team. Far from it.
What worries me is that when Burke is out, everyone, including Hardaway, look completely lost. Even on defense. GRIII is totally a nonentity. And Hardaway basically is throwing up threes, when he should be driving.
Right now they don't look like top 25 team. Beilein needs to get them together.
Would be nice if this team could show up for the first half of a big road game for once
GR3 is invisible and has been since the Purdue game, first rounder my ass. Trey Burke can't leave the floor if there's any chance at a comeback
Pathetic first half. Terrible defense, terrible shooting, no ball movement. At least I have good beer.
I love physical beat you down teams that get a little bloody and bang in the post. Michigan is the complete opposite. That last msu possession they got the offensive rebound twice. WTF Michigan sack up.
TV's off better things to do then watch this soft ass team
I would have loved for that 3 by Stauskas to go down from the corner late when it was 36-24 and about 50 seconds left. Would have been huge to possibly go in down single digits after how well they played and how shitty we did.
Albrecht looks like a kid the first time the training wheels come off. He's just trying not to mess up too bad, never mind make plays.
Very disappointed. Again, third road game where the team is getting outhustled, outrebounded, can't get to the GD f-throw line. I'm not even gonna expand on Mitch's two careless passes.
The opponent simply wants it more, period.
Yeah, but at the same time, they need to give him a set play. He is a frosh...and not a hugely talented one. They need to give him a set play either with Hardaway or Stauskus.
Do we have anyone else who can run the point when Burke needs a breather? Spike is bad.....
Games like this is exactly why I miss Novak. He was ready to get bloody for a win. I'd like to know where all this alleged swagger is at. Perhaps we need an absolute thumping for these guys to wake up. Shouldn't every team be tired? Hell, Ohio and MSU are down players or don't play a deep bench, whys it always an excuse for our team? We stand around for twenty seconds on every offensive possession....you'd think we'd be we'll rested. We shall see what this team is made up of in the second half.
What people forget I think is how integral Zack Novak was to this team last year. He was the ultimate team leader and set the tone for toughness all year. His role has been replaced by Glenn Robinson. Night and day is putting it lightly.
True. There doesn't appear to be anyone on this roster who has toughness and is just going to work their ass off. If Novak wasn't making shots, you can damn sure believe he was working on D and working for boards. I haven't seen a guy box out anyone all game tonight.
This game is still well within reach, but we're going to have to work on D a lot harder than I'm seeing right now. Work harder on D and string together a few stops in a row, force some TOs, and you are easily right back in this game.

Exactly what I stated above about Novak. G Rob looks catatonic out there all the time.
