...with WDLS to take on Cleveland St ingnatius, please tell me someone from 247 will be attending and posting updates!!!!!
Hate to say it but I think Shane and his team are gonna get a butt kickin. Ignatius is damn tough.
With college and high school games all going on at the same time, we can't be everywhere. I'm checking as we speak to find out if anyone will be there.
Cool, thx Todd. If nobody is going, does anyone know of a link to get some live updates?
jjhuddle.com will have live updates on all ohio high school football games. You will have to go into the update section and select St. Iggy's as the school you want an update on.
Could anyone give me a rundown on who the top St. Ignatius players are?
Agreed. Their OL is going to get worked. I hope Shane can keep himself alive.
Jimmy Byrne is a 2014 offensive lineman with offers from Ohio State, Michigan State and Notre Dame, and Michigan has expressed significant interest. Kevin Kavalec is a 2013 DE committed to Boston College, and David Katusha is a 2013 DT with some MAC offers.
St Ignatius is 11 time big-school state champ, defending champs. Just beat Youngstown Cardinal Mooney by a big margin (defending D-3 champs with a ton of talent).
De la Salle is in for a handful.
Ignatius has sent quite a few guys to Ann Arbor (one of them, Trent Zenkiewicz used to kick my ass routinely when I was a soph).
I watch a lot of OH HS football, I'm very interested to see Morris. How did he look first week?

Sorry, but Iggy is gonna take WDLS to the woodshed. I've heard from some that this St. Ignatius team is the best HS football team they have ever seen, FWIW.
This is not even the best St Ignatius team of the last 15 years, let alone best in country. They beat multiple teams in state playoffs last year that had more talent/athleticism (St Eds, Mentor, ?Pickerington) by discipline and coaching. Ignatius teams typically have stellar lines and tough kids but lack elite athletes. They are perhaps the most well-coached team you have ever seen though.
Thanks for telling me about what I have seen PCL. Last time I checked the best teams are a great mixture of chemistry/ athletics/ coaching/ & heart. Coach Kyle puts together a great team year in and year out, no matter what athletes he does, or doesn't have. Shane will see how big the margin is between talent and discipline once he steps foot against a top-notch OHIO HS program like St. Iggy. Hope it's a good game, and everyone stays healthy!
Clearly those people haven't seen many HS football teams. I'm sure St. Ignatius is a very good team, but best ever? Give me a break.
I had the pleasure of beating St. Ignatius in the state championship in 96, when I played for Lima Senior. I can tell you first hand the team this year is nothing like the 96 team. The 96 team could beat this years hands down in my opinion.
very simple. DLS is going to get crushed. they are not good. no off.line, receivers cant catch and the defense is average. look for the score to be 42-0. i doubt DLS scores. The only reason why they win games is because of morris. I have no idea why they scheduled this game.
Definitely a stiff challenge for Shane and his squad. Speaking of St. Ignatius, I'm hoping to make it to their game against St. Ed's at the end of the year. Should be a heck of a battle, and Ed's owes them.
38-0 Iggy over WDLS... *At halftime.
honestly, I am not surprised.
I wonder how well Cass Tech would fare against St. Ignatius on a neutral site.

St Iggy is a top notch program. Outside of Morris, I bet you all of Iggy's players are quite a bit more talented than WDLS's players.
Don't bother YankeeJets is just trolling. Anyone who doesn't understand that the talent level at different high schools is magnified even more so than at the college level is just not worth wasting your time on.
You sir are intellectually challenged
Seriously that was a dumb comment...Shane will be a good QB and I think almost any QB would have a rough game playing on a team like him against a Powerhouse like IGGY
+1 For being rational.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
Like I said in the other thread, guests are more than welcome to post here, but trolling will not be tolerated.
Sounds like a tough afternoon for Shane, but St. Ignatius is just a much, much better program top to bottom. Not sure any quarterback could have had success in Shane's position today.
