Saw this on another board, but I was interested in everyone's opinions on 247 ....best posters anywhere.
Is it lewan vs. Gholston?
Is it a center vs. A tackle....a reciever vs. corner...... Or even Maxwell vs. Our secondary?
If this is only for the MSU game then mine would be Lewan-Gholston. However, for the season mine should be Lewan-John Simon.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
I don't think my response is exactly what you are looking for, but I'm most looking forward to seeing how Borgess/Robinson do against Meyer/B. Miller. It'll be fun leading up to the game to see how each quarterback progresses, and how Borgess/Meyer decide to use them come November.
Lewan verses whoever is always fun to watch. Personally for me it's usually fun to see how our DTs do against the guard or center.
But would it be harming on simon?
Brian Kelly vs. ND's QB
Anything goes here.
Thanks for the post
Can't go wrong with Lewan vs. Gholston. I could see Nathan Williams emerging as Ohio State's best pass rusher off the edge as long as he's healthy. If he's healthy, that'd be a heck of a matchup with him against Lewan as well.
Denard Robinson vs Bama's D. If Denard can have a quality game against that D Michigan will have a special season.
Interested to see how Mattison game plans, and schemes against different offenses. Also other things to mention:
-Our WR/passing game with DG against Notre Dames secondary
-Our defense stopping Notre Dames run and TE
-Our defense stopping MSU's run, and the blitz packages against their rookie (relatively immobile) QB
-How Mattison schemes to stop Braxton, and coaching against the tendencies of Urbs offense and formulating a game plan specifically from his time working at Florida
Taylor Martinez vs. Neb. receivers.
Michigan's dline vs Bama's oline and any team going forward. All the analyst are telling them that they can't do it, and that their position group is what will hold Michigan back.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Michigan's D against the triple option. That will tell us a lot about the defense and their abilities to stay sound in gap control and running to the ball.
Getting specific: Denard Robinson's option reads v. Vinnie Sunseri.
I believe Sunseri will be the SS that Saban rolls up into the box, and that would mean he will be most responsible for bringing Denard down when the edge commits to stopping the inside run with Rawls.
will campbell vs every team. we finally get to see him start. I've been waiting 4 years for this. I just have that feeling he is going to be better than we expected
Denard and te'o
Really interested to see how Michigan stacks up in the trenches against Bama, which arguably has the countries best O and D-line.
I have been really really nervous about that clint. But as we get closer to the game, I think has his guys ready. Does that mean we live in there backfield? Probably not, but I fits will be hyped and hitting hard in this game. It may not be until the fourth quarter that their big oline starts weighing on our guys. Ilhopefully its fun to watch!
Agree with this. I also want to see how he handles the pass rush and if he is capable of making plays in the passing game against Bama.
Best D-line? I disagree with that. I think they are good, but not anything crazy. Their LBs are usually crazy, but we get the advantage of playing them in the first game.
Yeah, their D-line is crazy. They are complete beasts up front, especially Jesse Williams (DT that benched over 600 pounds this offseason).

Apparently there's a Nebraska fan in our midst. DOWN-VOTE. DOWN-VOTE. DOWN-VOTE.
Jessie Williams is good, but the others aren't anything over the top.
I hope you're right. I hear he's been sliding over to 3tech as well, which I think he's better suited for. This also might mean Pipkins is coming in better than expected. Pipkins and BWC on the same line could be a force, and I like the idea of Black in there too, resting BWC at the 3, or playing 3 while BWC is at 1 for a different look. I think our line will be alot better than they are getting credit for.

Yea, also rotating black to WDE if BWC and Pipkins in at the same time
