Does this mean we can go back to not acknowledging their existence?
Tell you what. When their main, somewhat reasonable poster was saying "from now on, MSU vs Michigan will be competitive. We're not sinking back into mediocrity" I kept shaking my head because many fail to admit that their recent rise coincided with Michigan's transitions.
By coincided, I also mean "was heavily reliant on." The recruiting focus is once again inside out (Michigan being "inside") and people are responding to the Michigan brand. Negative recruiting isn't as successful when you don't have newspapers supporting you. I'd be lying if I predicting them struggling this much (I honestly thought the offense would struggle mightily, but thought they'd win 8 games or so) this season, but definitely did not see them winning the division again anytime in the future.
Time will tell.
God I hope so.
time will tell, but i'd save this comment till the game isnt decided by a last second field goal...
I'm not saying they will suddenly stop showing up for the game against UM. As in the past it will be the only game they do show up for in a typical season full of debacles against other teams and a 6-6 record. It's all looking too familiar.
MSU is reverting back to the historical norm....but dont tell Sparty that, they have an awesome QB who is in high school right now who is committed...check out the future panacea (its not Kizer)
