If you can't take criticism, don't dish it out. You criticized Nebraska for being a poor representative of the Legends Division. I pointed out the epic hypocrisy given that Ohio State was unable to go to the BTCCG (or to a bowl game) because it is banned from postseason play due to cheating, Nebraska has been a much better representative of the B10 this year than OSU. Nebraska wasn't caught cheating. Nebraska plays by the rules. I will take the team that plays by the rules and loses a couple of games over the undefeated team that cheats every time. And I don't care if my saying that hurts your feelings. Go cry somewhere else. This is a big boy message board.

Ok then...hahahaha...."Big Boy MB"....gotcha.....and no, you surely can't make me cry....
Ok, i won't criticize Nebraska, as they are the team you think the BIG is best represented by. If I wanted to get critical, I could have brought it UM's way, like how could you only score 9 points against that defense Nebraska has. But I didn't.
BTW, THIS OSU team hasn't cheated, hasn't done anything wrong, and went undefeated, so THEY are the best rep the BIG could have. The man that lied to the NCAA is not the coach any longer. The season is over, so in my mind so is the "banned" year of 2012. Now Urb will be on the recruiting trail while all of our BIG bretheren will be getting beat in bowl games to continue the perception of our bad conference.
Isn't Michigan still on probation? So do you pull against UM?
I remember when people said the same thing about TCU.
Needless to say, a lot of Wisky fans looked foolish after that game.

I think Stanford will absolutely shut Wisky down.
To me, assuming one is happy to have Ohio represent the conference is akin to saying that all are happy that the current president represent America.
I dont disagree with you, I just wanted to use the trained innuendo
Again, you have totally missed the point. You came on our board and started a thread criticizing Nebraska for failing to represent our division well in the BTCCG when, in fact, your school failed to represent your division well in the BTCCG because your school was banned from the BTCCG for cheating. It's called hypocrisy. I realize it's a big word for someone with just a Buckeye education, but you can learn it. I have complete confidence in you.
It's like explaining organic chemistry to a kid studying at a technical school. You're not going to make sense to him no matter how much you try to dumb it down.
A. We lost to Nebraska because our starting QB was injured and our backup QB was a nightmare. If memory serves, the same thing happened to you in Lincoln last year. The difference is we didn't let Nebraska set any records against us. BTW say "hi" to Joe Bauserman for me next time you see him.
B. Your season is over, but OSU's tarnished image lives on. You have scholarship reductions for three years. You are on probation for three years. You will never get back your vacated 2011 season. And the Tressel era at OSU will always carry an asterisk. Tressel's accomplishments were acheived through systematic cheating and everyone now knows it. He is among a very select few head coaches to ever receive a 5-year show cause penalty from the NCAA. He must be very proud.
I get it's not a knock on Michigan, I just don't think anyone feels any camaraderie with a team because we share a division, so wording a thread this way is both moot and stupid. Besides, the wise move would have been to cancel the championship, and award Nebraska the title along with an asterisk. It's well established that Jim Delany is a buffoon of epic proportions, and I understand the money factor here, but I think the embarrassment of sending an unranked team represent the Big 10 should have superseded that IMO.
I did not watch the game BTW, but I imagine Beilema had an ear to ear grin on that giant lump of play-dough that sits on top of his shoulders when he was handed his trophy with an asterisk.
I know DRob got injured, in the 3rd quarter I believe. Still don't really see how that would/should limit you to 9 points against them. Heck, Wisky only threw the ball 8 times, with their 3rd or 4th QB of the year. I guess what I'd be surprised at is why your OC would've put your backup in and start throwing it around instead of running, which is what Nebraska has trouble defending.
I also see no asterick next to the 2002 NC or any of the other BIG championships outside of the 2010 season that was vacated. I don't think the image is tarnished as you say, since recruits are coming in, 2014 already off to a great start, 2015 already looking. So, if it's tarnished in UM's eyes, no big deal, evidently not tarnished in those that schedule TV broadcasts since every game has been on TV.
Tressel deserved to have a show cause put on him since he directly lied. I have no problem with that, he did it, he pays the price. I still think he was a very good coach, won more games than he should have and will be a great coach somewhere. The show cause is no big deal really, the school just starts out on probation for the remainder of his 5 year penalty. So if let's say Tennessee hires him, they have a 3 year probationary period, which they've had before anyway. It would be a good hire for UT. He'd win games there.

Denard got injured in the 2nd quarter, in the red zone.
After that, we did try to run the ball, and had a little initial success, but after Bellomy missed his 4th pass in a row, the Nebraska D started stacking the box and daring Bellomy to throw. We had a number of good plays called that put Bellomy in a position to succeed, he just couldn't make the throws.
The more throws he missed, the more Nebraska stacked the box. There's no point in running against an 8-man front when we're getting single coverage by a LB on Devin Funchess. To be a successful running team, you either have to have an absolutely dominant OL, or there has to be some threat of a pass. We had neither in that game. It's not simply a matter of "Oh, the pass isn't working, let's run the ball." You have to have balance of some sort to have any kind of running success.
Which is pretty much to my point of "surprised in Nebraska" not selling out to stop the run against Wisky and OSU....they had to know if they stopped the run, they probably win those games. Pretty Odd....
