My answer doesn't change. Denard is a totally different animal than Maxwell. We hopefully will have more to offer offensively than MSU.
I am honestly not concerned.
Would be pretty good to be 3-1 going into conference with the schedule we had.
ND will come in cocky and Denard will be Denard. Last year it took Borges a whole half to call a good offense. That won't happen this year.
Our offense >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MSU's offense, and I think our D is getting better every week. Plus, Denard always seems to have his best games against ND, so there is that..
Especially with the B1G looking like it is.
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
well I have been telling you all week how bad MSU's offense is.
I never disagreed, but I thought MSU's D was going to be good enough to pick up the slack. I admit I was wrong on that.
Nope. I think they lose at home to Ohio State to.
I think so, but our evidence consists of an opener down in Texas against #1, a game against that Air Force option crap, and an easy one against cupcake UMass. The real question is in our secondary. Not concerned with what ND's defense did against MSU. MSU was one-dimensional in trying to run it early and their only consistent pass offense was a five-yard toss to the TE. I think we'll win unless our secondary loses it for us.

Something to think about...ND was 1-14 on 3rd down. I'm curious to see if ND's front seven is good or if MSU's OL is that bad.
MSU was missing some starters on their OL, but the ND front 7 is pretty strong.
Will we? I don't think so.
Can we? Sure can.
I haven't seen the odds but I would guess ND would be giving up 3 points at home.
I am still not comfortable at all w/ the Michigan defense, and BWC has been an EXTREME disappointment and Craig Roh has not seemed to improve one bit since his freshman year if anything he has declined. Kovacs seems to be trying to do too much to cover up for his teammates and has made some mistakes in doing so.
That being said, we still have Denard and Gardner & Funchess are getting more and more comfortable every game so I expect a shootout. I don't think Golson/Rees can put the points up that Denard and Co. will be able to.
I'll say 38-31, but i'm not very confident w/ that.
I hope y'all beat 'em and make 'em look bad.
Since USC isn't the media darling anymore Notre Dame will take that spot, pressure is on them. I guess ND was scared to join y'alls league and went and joined the ACC.
I'll be watching and pulling for my favorite BIG 1O team.....
Sparties Offense was suspect to begin with. They had a lot of question marks. ND looked great and executed a very effective game plan. I am curious to hear the ND injury report. Anyone hear if Day or their safety is ok? I think we need to brace ourselves for another shoot out this Saturday.
What you eat, don't make me shit.
Borges will probably dial up a lot of blitzes in this game. ND's WR's are legit...TJ Jones, Toma, Riddick, and Eifert. They are a very dangerous team, but they are still yet to implode like all ND teams do at some point and wouldn't be surprised if they did against UM. Honestly I think this game is pretty evenly matched, and if you saw during the game....they ran a lot of stunts up front and pinned their ears back on throwing downs and dropped 7. They will not be able to do this against Denard because of his ability to avoid the rush. They will probably stack the box and spy Denard on passing downs with will leave some a lot of 1 on 1 coverage on the outside. I think Gardner, Funchess, and Roundtree could all have big games. I love our WR's in 1 on 1 coverage...playmakers. All we need to do is get Fitz going a little bit. Last year we had no running game outside of Denard. We'll be OK I think....on D though, I'm a little worried. Need to stop the run and not give up the big play and we win again
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
ND will be probably around a TD favorite going into this game.
I think Craig Roh has been solid this year. He isn't getting the stats I think but he has been disruptive at times.

IF we can pass well, then yes. The running game is going to have some challenges.
-It will be key for Borges not to force a game plan that isn't working, like he has done frequently in the past. The first thing that comes to mind is Fitz. If we are not creating significant positive yardage with Fitz, you have to unleash Denard. Also, establish those high percentage pass plays to get Denard confidence. I think the playbook opens up a little, and we will see some reverses, and throw-back passes, and more Norfleet
-Turnovers: I would love for our D to get back to creating some turnovers as it did last year. Also, ND is not turning the ball over as much as last year
-Gholston: I predicted that ND wouldn't win more then 6 games this year at the beginning of the season, in large part because of the question marks they had at the QB position. It appears these questions have been answered, and RS freshman Gholston looks like the real deal, and gives them an added dimension (without being turnover prone) that Rees did not. He is going to be a real gamer for the next few year, and will be dependent to manage the game for ND to win.
I seriously don't know who will win, I just predict another shootout
I can't believe we are debating this. It is clear:
Last team with the ball wins.
FYI- ND QB is Golson. Gholston is with MSU
3 time POTW
Sheldon Day should be good for Saturday. He actually came back in the game aginst MSU. Slaughter, our safety, is done for the year with a ruptured achilles.
As an ND fan all I can say is that our Defense will shut down your only able body on your team, Denard inaccurate Robinson. This game will be won by 17 or more points. Notre Dame just beat the two best teams in the Big 10. Needless to say the Big Ten sucks !
