Very good point lol
Who would tOSU need to finish with for you guys to consider the class NOT bad (and full of scraps)?
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Ironic considering Kenny Guiton just injured his hand.
It's a bit late for that.
Bring on the guy who doesn't play school!
What type of injury and how serious?
He tried writing for the first time ever and his hand cramped badly.
he was bit by a spider after he opened his text book for the first time
Don't know. Urbie was asked about injuries at an event a few days ago and he said they were pretty healthy except for Guiton's hand. He didn't give any more details. The Nuts are spinning it as minor, but best I can tell they are just guessing because they have no details either. Maybe this was what Miller meant by his tweet about not taking things for granted. I'm pretty sure Guiton's a senior, so if he misses any significant time at all it's a big deal for him. It's probably his last year to play competitive football.
And now that they're a spread team, I don't think this will get better for them.
Eleven Warriors is the largest free Ohio State Buckeyes sports outlet on the internet, featuring news, in-depth analysis, Ohio State football and basketball recruiting, videos and some funny.
With Gardner being sent home and not part of the 2013 team, I gotta imagine that will have an impact a couple of years down the road. Even if he re-joins next year, that is a year of not being in a college weight room and learning the scheme.
Am I correct in counting just 1 OL from their 2013 recruiting class?
"Isn't it amazing what somebody will do when he can't bunt." - Vin Scully
Yep. Only Lisle.
Here's what OSU will have on the roster in 2014:
Class of 2010:
Class of 2011:
Class of 2012:
Class of 2013:
Class of 2014:
That's a grand total of 9 non-true-frosh scholarship OLs, two of whom are converted DLs, and only one of whom will have had any major playing time before. This is also assuming no more attrition for whatever reason.
Yeah, the depth in the OL is getting pretty thin, but the events this weekend could also open up spots for OSU to sign a couple more OLs in the 2014 class, like Mavety, Eluemunor, Prince, or Knox. We'll see.
Yeah, but you never want to start true frosh OLs. Ever. Whatever extra schollies open up won't help OSU in 2014.
Very true. Although in 2014 Decker will be a returning starter, probably at LT, and Underwood, Boren, and Dodson all will have significant playing time under their belt and will probably be starters. Lisle will be a sophomore. Also, Mavety and Eluemunor are both Junior College players who would come in as juniors with experience.
Anyone else read this update? Not a single shred of good OL-related news for OSU in it, and lots of bad.
-Mavety loved his FSU visit.
-Eluemenor looking like a Razorback-to-be.
-Knox wide open, but UCLA in a good position.
Not to mention that "informed sources" are saying that DaShawn Hand's silence on the recruiting front is good news for Michigan and seemingly bad news for Florida and Bama. Those "informed sources" are probably why Lucky flipped his Crystal Ball prediction from Bama to Michigan.
Things are starting to trend in the direction of the home team for five-star (247Composite) cornerback Jalen Tabor. Plus, other tidbits from around the country.

@JShankerESPN: Jermaine Eluemunor commits to #Arkansas.
Not really a surprise, but still hilarious. Now here's hoping Mavety goes to FSU.
They keep telling themselves that they are going to get this person and this person and this person...I don't think they realize that the list keeps getting smaller. Obviously OLman don't see anything spectacular happening at Ohio. So you think if they miss out on Mavety and Knox (which is slipping away from them too) that jones will decommit?

Haha it would be very nice. And the awesome thing would be jones would prob commit to MSU. I would be all for that
