So immediately after Bollman leaves, your OL improves. Sparty's OLine is going to regress even more.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
Dude who got arrested for peeing in public last year.
absolutely....good luck with Bollman...
There were several comments made by OSU coaches when they first got there how the OL was lacking in toughness, conditioning and technique....so, if I'm not mistaken that would fall on the OL coach at that time, which was Bollman..
I'm not saying the OSU OL was the best in the world or the conference last year, but they were dramatically better than the previous few years. We were actually able to run the ball at end of games last year when the other team knew we were going to run it. Again, not so the previous few years under Bollman.
Yes I remember LT, he was the turnstile our freshman DL Washington blew by on his way to the QB to crunch him and cause a fumble, yeah he is a memorable guy for me :)
I prefer Clark's sack of Miller.
It showcased Ohio's nonexistent OLine against a future NFL player (from a Ohio pipeline).
* * * N E O . R E T R O * * *
I find it funny that "Frank C" is posting about Frank Clark.
Also, my grandmother could have gotten that sack with as untouched as he was.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
That's your OL's fault for not picking up the blitz.
Nice Frank, my turn now I guess, I like our FB destroying your OL and blowing up your QB! :)
Hah, I love J Ryan, but in that video he does a good job of showing how not to defeat a chop block.
Btw OSU fans, great job by your oline showing an understanding of how to make the proper line calls. What does that say if your grandma could have made that sack(because I agree with this point)...
No, it isn't.
You are under a delusion. This isn't a smack thread.
You got one shot in and that was enough. I responded to that one. We're even.
If you persist in trying to ruin Michigan threads for Michigan fans, I will make sure you are banned from our board.

Such is the life of an OL - you block all comers for 99% of plays, and idiot fans only remember the one play where the defender won the battle. Same story as the Outback Bowl.
No doubt. And if I remember correctly, wasn't the block on that Clowney play on a pulling Freshman TE anyway (as opposed to Lewan)? i.e. that the TE didn't get around in time to stop a DE who runs a 4.4 haha. Clowney is unblockable anyway. Guy could find his way around or through a brick wall.
At least now we can laugh when the bucknuts are confused as to why Washington won't average 110 sacks per season.
It was one of the guards if I remember right. It was definitely not Lewan's obligation.
And Clowney is unblockable...unless he is facing Lewan. Lewan basically shut him down, when they were one on one.
they both (clowney, lewan) said the other was the best they had ever faced...
pretty big compliment, considering the sources...
Bwahahahahahaha ... Bwahahahahahaha ... no, wait, let me catch my breath ... Bwahahahahahaha
They will both be top 10 picks, if not higher, barring something horrible.
yeah, after seeing what happened to the kids from louisville and kentucky in hoops and lattimore in fball, lewan shoulda bolted...
it was very admirable he stayed (and exemplified the bo mantra, the team, the team, the team), but damn, these injuries seem to be happening more and more...
i pray they all stay healthy and avoid injury!
Some kids like CFB. You're making it sound like he's being forced to stay. I'd rather play in front of 110K of our fans instead of some NFL doormat that drafts him that will have a half empty stadium.
Jst because that guy came free doesn't make it the fault of the offensive line.. With the way the O-Line slanted that player was probably the quarterbacks responsibility. He has to take a glance and see if they have it covered and if not change the play or switch to hot routes....
Miller knowing the call should of changed the play or a hot route, called TO or taken off....Anything but what he did do....Similar play when OSU is on the goal line and Miller screwed that up to....
That play actually was Miller's fault. Just fun to rag on the Oline a little bit That being said, I'm surprised by OSU fans that believe Miller will be a good passer down the road. The guy just hasn't shown that he comprehends how to properly read a defense going through his progressions. He could very well prove me wrong, but I'm betting on what I have seen will continue to be the norm vs what OSU fans hope he will become...
He did take out a multi-million dollar insurance policy on himself though, so at least he's playing it safe.
Fair enough frank, just figured picture for picture :) but curious where is it that I'm under delusion?
You are right this is a Michigan board, I enjoy reading, it provides me a counter balance to those who wear scarlet and grey glasses, if that makes sense.
I would agree CMXI, and you know this was in response to such a post! I think calling Frank an idiot is kind of harsh!
I also value reading/hearing/seeing what the other side thinks.
I just think the endless back-and-forth should be reserved for the appropriate threads.
