Moon, why don't you read your own boards posts....yes, it was the DE tearing it up as Troy and company had a third of the offense production...just making my point about D line speed but it's lost on you guys here....good luck. You guys are something else.
Our OL that year was better than yours, we had Jake Long who would have been able to hold down that DE. It's not really that crazy to think, considering we were higher ranked than that Florida team all the way up until the last week.

F'n Shawn Crable. Would've been in the natty if not for that late hit.
I still strongly believe the national championship should have been a rematch between OSU and Michigan, regardless of what the bowl game outcomes were for both of the teams.
buttesnake, I love what you've done with the OP!
As do I.
Also, they're up to 22 OL offers now, some of whom are committed elsewhere.
Is that the same jake long that Gholston used as a turnstile? :)
I could be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time, but I believe that both Florida de who were seldom talked about until that game ended up getting drafted in the 1st round, I think they both busted.
He beat Long once at the beginning of the game, he was denied by Long for the rest of the game. His other 2 sacks came against different players.
The Jake Long that gave up 3 sacks in his entire 4 year college career. The Jake Long that was the #1 pick in the NFL, Pro Bowler and future Hall of Famer. Or we could be referring about the same Gholston who doesn't even have 10 sacks in his entire NFL career and could be claimed as one of the biggest busts in NFL history. Nice try, though.
Amazing how dumb the comments can get on this board.

Gholston = steroids
Hey settle down guys, this is your board not trying to be disrespectful, was just making a comment that was a bit smartass, but I will say who cares how they turn out as pros, that has nothing to do with the statement, using your logic Tebow was a terrible QB because he will have a horrible pro career, that argument doesn't make sense. Sorry for the delay in the broadcast, commence in bashing my Buckeye's recruiting :)
I really did not mean any disrespect I do like posting on your board and I don't mind a little give and take, I don't cuss or committ personal attacks
is this guy really talking shit about a LT that was the #1 overall pick
Actually TAMU's comment wasn't all about how Long is doing is the pros. I guess you missed the 3 sacks in his 4 year career statement. And he was the #1 overall pick.. And if you go #1 in the draft, I'd say you had an outstanding college career, right?
When you said "using your logic Tebow was a terrible QB" your argument doesn't make sense, not TAMU's.
Actually I was addressing more of his Gholston attack, he went off of what he did in the pro's if you read his post, and to your argument then Gholston was a heck of a college player being a top 10 pick :). I say that the pro career has no relavence to the story.
Jake Long's college career > Vernon Gholston's college career
True. But I'd say Long had a better college career.
Was that even a debate? I never said Gholston was better, did I? Gholston owes the reason he was drafted so high based on 3 performances, Michigan game, PSU game, and the combine. There is no comparison between longs college or pro career to gholston's it's long hands down, never argued that nor would I!
Well since all the UM guys are better in the NFL, then I guess that means the Buckeyes were better coached in college...I'll take that.
Where do these idiots come from?. What kind of logic is this?
Mason Cole > Marcelys Jones and Kyle Trout put together.
That would make Cole the first ever 8 star! Lol
