You mean you'll lose to msu this time? 8^)
bet meyer didn't know that kids name anywhere near the beginning of the cycle, dug way down in the scrap heap for that 1
Goddamn, this thread never gets old.
I figured it was appropriate.
hell no, just keeps gettin more and more relevant
couldn't even beat out msu for a lineman, so much for urbs the master recruiter, well then again he probably just let finley commit to sparty so he can flip em
I wish Finley had gone to Illinois.
* * * N E O . R E T R O * * *
eh the meltdown from spartys when they realize finally gettin a player from CT still doesn't mean they can compete with us for the players we do offer is gona be pretty epic
may this thread prosper long into next year and into the future...
Brionte Dunn is a big boy. Meyer can put him on a high calorie diet and have him on the line by his RS junior year.
It would probably be his best path to he field.
At this point, Meyer's going to have to convert more TEs and more DLs. The line is already ridiculously thin, even with two converted DLs and a converted TE in the 2-deep. They've only got one senior this year, but with the number of juniors they've got, unless Meyer massively upgrades this year's OL class, 2014 is going to be a nightmare for them.
At what point does Urban pull out the "I had a dream last night, God told me......" schtick to Dorian Johnson?? Seems when he is trailing for prospect, but in the top 2, he pulls out this tactic.
I'm sure he already has. Johnson is the one hope Meyer has to save this OL class. If he can't bring Johnson in, he's faced with the unenviable choice of handing 4-year offers to lower-tier recruits, or praying that his depth chart holds up for another year (which I doubt it will - when they're already having to convert DLs and TEs to OLs, a 2-man OL recruiting class will not get the job done).
WOW....Evan Lisle has some serious work to do, not even close to being elite or 4 star IMO. Not only does he do a jump/hop when getting out of his stance, but he basically stands straight up.....but solid get for Urbs nonetheless
Yeah why would Alabama and Michigan ever offer this kid? Just a crappy player
I suppose Poggi lit it up his first game, he was impressive on his back! But i'm not on hear saying how bad a player he is..............how was sugar shane morris his first game, read that impressive stat line
Yes he is such a bad recruiter, you are so right, that is the way all the evidence points, just another top 10 calss, what a loser!
Im glad your thrilled with him, just pointing out objective technique flaws.....if your thrilled with that, then your either a homer or dont understand football (and probably both). Do you have video of Poggi? Also, did you see the film of Shane in his first game? Let me know your objective thoughts, because he is going to get alot of practice this year throwing on the run and with roll out passes.
Did not watch the game for sugar Shane, I did watch the whole poggi game, I think it was pretty clear he was a non factor and was controlled on a one on one basis, just the first game of the year but I did not think he was impressive at all, I thought he would be a lot better. Technique can be corrected through coaching, I think that is a fair statement, maybe Alabama and Michigan feel the same way and that is why they offered him as well, would that be a fair statement?
Urbie offered him too.
We cannot let this thread die!!
Based on the performance of their defense, it looks like they ended up with scraps at DC too.
