Seriously, I'm not arguing that these kids can't or won't be decent (Patrick Omameh anyone?) but the fact of the matter is that these are the leftovers after other programs have gone through and taken OSU's Plan A, B, and C guys. There's simply no denying that. Scraps can turn into something good, but they're still scraps.
The kid has added value to what he brings on the field simply because he is from Cass Tech. Not concerned about losing a quality player out of the state with this kid. More concerned with who he is friends with.
MSU fans are really kidding themselves. From their topic on Dennis Finely:
"I don't see it - I don't think Wisconsin will beat MSU head to head for an instate recruit. MSU has too much mojo, at this time."
Honestly, it is rather presumptuous to consider yourself a better head-to-head match-up with Wisconsin. Now that OSU has offered, this athlete will probably see his offer list explode. MSU is in a tough spot.

This...getting ur name at a big school like Cass, can not do anything but get the OSU name in their hallways.
As long as Coach Wilcher is there, nothing to worry about.
looks like scraps to me.
braden came from one of the best high schools in the state. there top 3 every year. you can take a guy like him when you have a 5 star kalis and two four star magnuson and bars to go with him.
Finley and Miller are good OL, and for OSU would be nice pickups. But they certainly are not top of the line guys. They could blow up (and with Finley, would not surprise me), but clearly they were not the top choice of top programs.
i agree i dont think many buckeye fans would argue. we have missed on our top targets and are already on plan B and C kids. I wish we wouldnt have but it is just truth. We are to thin to wait another year so im all for a project or a late bloomer. I would still like to see 2 more OT's even if they are not top tier guys.
Agreed. Especially on Miller. Seems like a tough versatile kid that can play where he is needed. I'm glad he got the OSU offer because he deserves it, but I really don't want to see him go to OSU.
So now I'm seriously crossing my fingers that he gets an offer.
Miller hasnt been offered.....yet
I like Miller a lot, saw him play last year. Finley has gotten a lot of talk recently. OSU would get a good one in either of these guys, regardless of rating. MSU is going hard after them too.
OL Derwin Gray commits to Maryland.
But but but it doesn't matter....
EDIT: NVM, misread ESPN. My bad.

Seriously, who is going to block for Miller in a couple years?
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
They will grab some decent 3 star kids. Those kids can still play but will they be able to handle the better Big Ten defenses is another question.
What happens when OSU starts out recruiting MSU in Michigan? Could happen ....
Great article on Rivals about Michigan and ND well ahead of everyone else with reruiting great OL classes.
Stanford should be on there as well. There class last year was sick.
Won't matter much if they let MSU come into Ohio and pick up the low 4 star high 3 star kids in Ohio.
This honestly cracks me up! All Ohio fans do is talk **** about Cass Tech and it's players. Now look at them. Suckin at the teet
