Janoris Jenkins has a very public weed problem that got him kicked off Florida and forced to go D-2. Kirkpatrick started in and won the national championship game, so at least his weed problem is concealed, more like Manningham than Jenkins.
I would LOVE to get Perry, but don't see how he falls that far. His measurables are too good for teams to pass up after he ran that 4.6 forty at like 260lbs. The latest SI mock has him at 32 though, so who knows. I've seen some with Melvin Ingram at 7 and others where he is 20. I think it's OT->CB->DE->LB->best available. I'd actually love to get a kid like Coby Fleener, but they don't have a need at TE so using a first round pick on him isn't going to happen.
Well if we take OL/DL first and second rounds, Hosley and Boykin will still be there 3rd round I'm thinking. Those guys arent physical at all but they are good cover guys IMO.
Check out my 2 deep of UM's base 4-3 under defense, let me know your thoughts. Last updated: 3/28/12

Ohio State T Mike Adams, 1st rnd prospect, tested positive for marijuana at combine. Has already completed counseling
Combine that with his poor combine performance (19 reps at 225, 5th lowest total of all OL prospects there) and it seems he will fall out of the first round. I don't think the weed is a big deal depending what he told the teams that interviewed him, but if they think he didn't take the combine seriously that may make teams take a pass. Somebody will get a steal in the 2nd round if he does fall.
Thank God. I was worried he was going to be the pick. Hopefully he will still be around in the 2nd when we pick where, he will be a much better value.
29 OG/T Amini Silatolu Midwestern State Sr. 6-3 320
(Trade with Ravens; Should pick: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State). Upset special of the first round. The Lions loved Silatolu when he visited them, and they probably can't wait until their second-round pick (54th) to get him. Powerfully based and more explosive than he looks at 6-4 and 312 pounds, he could succeed Jeff Backus at left tackle, where Silatolu dominated Division II opponents for two years.
Peter King's mock draft not only predicts the Lions trade down with the Ravens (not a bad move to get another pick in the 3rd round), but also picks they will have draft a guy who is 6-3 and played D-II with the expectation he will take over at Left Tackle? Don't LT's in the NFL need to be like 6-6 with long arms?
I like the trade, since there is a good chance Dre and Martin could be gone by then. Makes since for the Ravens as well because they would be able to grab Hightower who Ozzie Newsome is rumored to like a lot, before the Steelers.
But I don’t like the pick. I know Amini Silatolu been getting some hype for about a month and a half now, but from what I read and heard about him is that he is most likely only a G or at the most a RT in the NFL. I would rather take JJ, Hill, or Perry with that pick.
I would go with big OT Mike Adams from OSU. He has all the tools to dominate at the next level.
