I've been posting here for a year why would I just start trolling now?
Gringo Mafia Sergeant at Arms - 5 time POTW
This is like the definition of trolling:
"Kornheiser today said that Hoke will be having nightmares about Meyer for the next half decade...thoughts?"
You go into a team's forum, post something bad about that team, and try to get responses. Trolling.
I WANTED TO KNOW WHY HE WOULD SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT
HOKE HAS A BCS BOWL WIN UNDER HIS BELT ALREADY AND HAS A LEG UP IN THE RECRUITING RACE
It's not trolling. It was said on national television and was wondering if anyone else saw it. The comment Kornheiser made zero sense!
What don't you get!?
CMXI how dare you try to run my name through the mud!
If you want a legitimate response, then here's how you phrase it:
"What are your guys' thoughts about Hoke v. Meyer? Do you think they'll have an even rivalry? Are there any areas in which you all think Hoke could have problems with Meyer?"
When you come onto another team's board, you mind your phrasing. Just like I wouldn't go onto Bucknuts and say "Mark May said Ohio State is worthless and doesn't deserve its AP spot...thoughts?", you don't come onto the Michigan board and ask a question that is phrased like you're trying to bait someone into an angry response.
You're doing more to harm your reputation by simply continuing to post than I could ever do.
haha, I hope you are kidding with all these posts tonight, if not you belong on tRCMB.
If you don't know that Kornheiser is clueless (today he said Marino won a Super Bowl) then you don't deserve to post on this forum.
Besides, that sounds like a pretty bad excuse for attempted trolling.
Are you one of the more sensitive posters? Dude we're grown men here are you kidding me? Who cares how I phrase it I was just trying to get a question across.
Next time I'll be more politically correct sorry.
Not really. I actually think I'm doing a good job explaining myself.
No sensitivity belongs on tRCMB
Personally, I don't care how you word it. I'm just telling you - if you want a legitimate response, you phrase it in a way that won't come across as trolling. If you phrase it the way you did, then expect a negative response, and don't get all up in arms if people react negatively to the post.
Also, this forum isn't entirely grown men. One of the goals of Wolverine247 is to expand and reach a wide demographic of Michigan fans. As a result, we try to keep the board clean and respectful, in an effort to make sure the board is suitable for fans of all ages and genders. You'll notice that this board is nothing like tRCMB, and that's by design. We expect our guests to be accommodating and respect what we're trying to do here - if you can't abide by that, then frankly, we don't want you on the board.
Kornheiser and Wilbon are two of the most respected unbiased opinions on ESPN
And even when they get it wrong there's a half minute segment at the end of the show about what they screwed up
Errr...just saying, there's a very good reason Kornheiser isn't doing MNF anymore.
You keep trying to preach to me about being respectful and abide by the rules.
Have I violated any 247 rules?
If you would have read our boards guidelines, you would know the answer to that question.
No, you're just skirting the line or crossing over the rules of this forum in particular. Each home board on 247 operates semi-autonomously, and the mods for each board have the right to make rules and set boundaries for each board. BOL doesn't let outsiders post. RCMB is a free-for-all. Bucknuts has multiple active forums. Each team board operates differently, and it's up to guests (and all posters, really) to respect the rules for each forum. If you're not going to respect the tone and tenor of each forum, you have no right to be upset when called out on it or banned.
So MNF is the end all be all?
See what I mean every little thing I say you just can't leave it alone...
Being on MNF doesn't mean SQUAT!
You seriously need to leave. You add nothing to this board at this point.
Ok I'll ask again what have I done wrong exactly?
I got banned until I'm 67 years old on MSU board for asking if they're a football or basketball school and I was being dead serious. Is that fair?
I wasn't talking to you
When did I ever say MNF was the end all be all?
Also, if I'm in a thread, I'm going to respond to posts in a thread. If you have a problem with my responding in a respectful manner to your posts, don't post in the thread.
To my ultimate point though - clearly, if the network felt obliged to pull Kornheiser off MNF due to viewer backlash, he's not one of the "most respected unbiased opinions on ESPN."
Wilbon and Kornheiser are both experienced media guys who can dress up their ignorance in reasonable-sounding but in fact usually ignorant 30 second soundbytes. Neither Kornheiser nor Wilbon know nearly enough about college football (or most other sports) to really comment on it in a meaningful way. These guys are off to bed at 10 pm at night, how much sport do you think these guys actually get to watch between their cushy jobs and the golf course? They watch some NFL and some NBA, that's basically it.
Personal attacks - questioning whether Frank C has AIDS, posting stuff like "Mr. Woodson wants desperately to be a mod and/or have some sort of pull."
Not being respectful - posting trolling comments, saying things like "I just feel very uncomfortable talking to cult members on here.", and insulting other guests to our board ("You animals shouldn't be allowed to post").
Both of those things are specifically addressed in the Guidelines.
Do you guys realize how much OSU and UM are going to dominate the B10 for years to come?
