Aww man, I was hoping Braxton would drop to me. Whatever, I'll take DJ Fluker. Games are won in the trenches!!
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
I agree that battles are won in the trenches. As such, I will have to go with Jonathon Hankins to anchor the interior of my defensive line.
I was also thinking of Jesse Williams for the NT spot, but Hankins experience wins out in the end for me.

Great Hankins pick! I think UM faces some insanely good D-Line players this year. There's 6-7 guys that could be 1st round picks when they graduate. As such, I'm gonna start with my O-Line and select Taylor Lewan.

This is probably a reach, but there is a serious lack of play-making pass catchers available. I'm going to take Tyler Eiffert - TE from ND. He's most likely the best TE in the country. I want a prime target for my passing game, but I don't feel like there is anyone on the schedule that is a for sure difference maker at WR, so I'll go with a TE to fill that roll.
Not much of a stretch considering the WR/TE talent available.
I like everyones picks so far.
I shall nab Montee Ball for my running game.
Only can Pick teams that Michigan plays against.
Sorry, but Wisconsin players are not eligible. Only UM and their regular season opponent's.
Shit sorry. That was dumb. Ok to build my offensive line then I'll take Chance Warmack.
Wow sorry haha.
good pick I actually like him a little better then DJ Fluker but T might hold more weight then G
Yea I think tackles might be better, but I was looking at my options for tackles left available and guards available and felt he would be a better option. I think I can get serviceable tackles later on, whereas guards I wasn't too sure of.
I think you got the best available player.
I'll go with John Simon
I will stay on the defensive side of the ball and pick Jesse Williams.
Having a DT that benches 600lbs is never a bad thing! I think the picks get a little more interesting form here - the best available kind of swings towards what you are planning to do with your team rather than just talent levels.
I like him a lot. Where are you going to use him at, NT his new position, or the SDE (ideally in a 3-4) which he played last year?

Honestly I would prefer to use him as a true NT but it is too early in the draft to lock in what defense Im going to be running.
Very true. Are you going to run based on what you draft (i.e. best available), or are you going to draft based on what you plan to run (i.e. best available for the system)? I think I am going with the draft based on plan to run.
I will more then likely draft best available to an extent especially early on. A good coach has to adapt to the players on his roster. Kind of like what Hoke did do and RR didnt.
I'm leaning towards drafting towards my plan, but if there's a talent available that I can't pass up I'd take him and adjust my strategy accordingly. Like if Jesse Williams fell into my lap, I may consider running a 3-4 even if I planned on running a 4-3.
I honestly thought of pairing him and Hankins in the middle of a 4-3 hahahaha.
Thats what I meant its too early to lock into a formation or scheme. I think you need to remain flexible early on.
Now that would have been beastly. I think you did better with picking who you did.
