Hearing some things but nothing concrete as of yet
Would be a pretty good hire, but they've said he's not leaving except for a HC job. I'd guess he would leave for this, though
Would be a great hire, but would he take it?
I don't even want to think what type of defense he could produce with that talent... I would think he could go there for 2 years and get a big time job... Much better showcase than Michigan St
Would set him up for the NFL.

Him with that talent would produce an incredible defense. Would be an amazing hire, but I don't see him leaving unless its for a HC job.

The only issue I see is that if he goes there and Kiffin gets fired after one more season, the new HC might want to bring in his own guy as DC. Narduzzi needs to think this through carefully because another year or two with a top 10 defense at MSU and he probably gets offered a HC gig anyway.
I think he is waiting out the hc job at msu. But thats just my opinion
Might be waiting for some time .... and with his skills ... you really want MSU when you have much greener pastures in both college and possibly the NFL??
Sparty has a good discussion going on now .... http://michiganstate.247sports.com/Board/93/Question-for-you-guys-about-your-DC-15502396/2.
One thing to think about ... Gholston is going pro early ... he might know something the rest have not heard yet. Also, why not take the USC DC job if you think there is a shot for the HC job in a year or two?

Eh, we saw with Muschamp how this can backfire. I don't see Dantonio being fired anytime soon unless they have two losing seasons in a row, so Narduzzi could be waiting a long time. If I were him, I'd have been looking for HC jobs for quite a while now.
I would have to believe this would help with Jon Reschke
LOL at Sparty ...
He may be back-channeling discussions to gauge expectations, salary, interest, etc. Some booster(s) at USC decided to stir the pot and leaked some information. You can gauge interest without 'talking to USC directly' I would suspect.
I just jumped to the last page and saw probably the best post on the thread. It was some guy telling them they should be honored that a school like USC even wants any of their coaches. It was, of course, greeted with "F off" responses.
I think USC would be really attractive to Narduzzi, especially looking at the talent he'll have on the roster. The issue is why would he want to work for Kiffin and likely be out of a job in a year or two when Kiffin gets fired? The outlook is that if he does an awesome job, he might help Kiffin keep his job and need to continue to work for him. If he does poorly, Kiffin is out and so is he? Seems high risk, low reward.
With the talent at USC, Narduzzi would make that team complete and save Kiffin's job. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kiffin pull out all the stop to get him.
USC's defense would be great with Narduzzi
It would rival Alabama's and Florida's. That talent level is close to tops in the nation.
I think it is an excellent opportunity for him, a win-win.
1. USC sucked this year with the talent on that team. If Narduzzi goes in, and exploits the talent-rich USC team like he did with average talent at MSU, he will propel them to BSC status. This makes him highly attractive for a HC job - probably SEC or Pac-10 school.
2. If he goes in and exploits the USC talent, and propels USC Defense to top-5 or 10, he positions himself for the USC HC job if Kiffen manages to mess up the rest of the team. He makes his case - 'I fixed my piece ... and I can do it for the whole team.'
Win-Win to me here.
You guys wish

I do not "wish" for anything from this situation. I would rather keep top B10 coaches in the B10. However, I do believe the USC DC position would propel him much farther and faster to his goals than MSU ever would for him. I think it is 50-50 for you guys right now.
Or he would be considered to be the head coach if Kiffin gets canned, or other schools with openings would poach him for the HC job, or he could probably get an assistant job in the NFL. It really doesnt matter what happens at USC in a year or two, Narduzzi will be fine any way you slice it.
