All ohio fans need to realize that they hired a coach that sometimes makes questionable decisions and will eventually get disciplined for them. Not a question of "if" but "when". He is a great coach but does do some shady things. If it is true that the full tape was not handed over or if it was manipulated in any way....that is the bottom line, just lack of sportsmanship and unethical procedure. I don't care either way who won that game, just know ohio fans....that type of decision making will get your team in trouble one way or another. Plus being on probation, you would think they would be doing everything by the book right now. Boggles the mind
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Bad Dude Bade. That's coming from a Buckeye fan. Go back to our board and chant this, not theirs.
It isn't the NCAA rule. It's a BIG rule, but not NCAA.
Urbie doesn't get a pass simply because Narduzzi waited until after the game to complain to the press. There is zero justification for Urbie having his video guys edit the film sent to Sparty. And I agree with whoever above said this was probably Urbie retaliating for being called out improperly by Dantonio and Beilema in recruiting. It's like we suddenly have a handful of children as coaches in the B10. It's bad enough we are struggling on the field this year, do the coaches have to act like immature idiots too?

How is cheating by doing things like improperly editing game film going to improve football play in the B10?
Yeah, I really don't see how doing that makes Ohio State - or the conference as a whole - any nastier.
Edited game film? What's next, Bomb sniffing dogs on MSU's team bus? Oh, wait.
Maybe it means the B1G needs to operate below board like the SEC. Here's an idea. Instead of the B1G lowering it's standards to the SEC's maybe the SEC should raise it's standards like everyone else. Just saying.
I do not agree with any type of cheating. I am one of the people that complains about the the Unfair playing field the SEC has with their over signing and supposed pay for play that has gone on. I do think how ever Urban will help the conference while he is at OSU. The gentleman's club some schools have had is over. Is this good? You bet. If the "Nastyness" is from shady ethics that can stay in the other conference if it is not ethical.
these guys are idiots. how is that going to make the B1G competitive. I like what urban did when he went after sparty, wisky and penn players. now that's what you can call "nastyness". I don't mind it one bit. Its not against the rules and every coach should recruit until signing day. but cutting out tape is just classless, shady and against the rules.
Completely agree with this.
I honestly think they do get the point but they are making excuses to make urban look good. To all ohio fans: the point of this thread is to show what a classes, shady move meyer pulled. its not about dantonio crying, its not about msu having full access to video. The damage has been done as soon as they sent edited tape, which they didn't edit the tapes they sent their other opponents. msu having the full tape doesn't make what meyer did okay.
Ok, here is the entire situation wrapped up in a nutshell..
1) Film coordinator DID send wrong film to MSU, it was film edited to just before the snap that tOSU uses in recap sessions
2) MSU notified tOSU Tuesday about it
3) Film coordinator rectified and sent correct film TUESDAY.
4) Urban nor any other coach knew about or deals with the film exchange..just as Brady Hoke doesn't waste his time dealing with the film exchange. These coaches are the CEO's of a big business and delegate medial tasks and honestly most likely couldn't tell us who that person even is.
So YES, tOSU was wrong, by mistake, and sent correct film within the hour of being notified by MSU....
Which makes the complaining about it on Saturday afternoon look pretty lame
If it was an honest mistake then you can forgive, but the problem with that is we don't know for sure if they're lying or not. what we do know is that they wouldn't tell them the truth if they did do it on purpose, no one is that dumb. I'm not gonna take ohios word on it. obviously they are going to send the film when msu contacted them, because if they didn't msu would tell everyone that we called ohio and they told us that's all the tape you're getting, which would show it was done on purpose. I don't understand how the "tape guy" can mess something up like that when he does it as a career every week. he doesn't screw up tape for the cupcake teams. but he screws it up for a team on your level, a losable game, a team with a coach you hate and a team you lost to last year
They will ignore this thread now...
That was some real convincing, thread-ending BS, right there. I agree.
Most of the talk was about being more cut throat and poking fun of the "Gentleman's Agreement" stuff. Finebaum regularly calls the B1G soft and laughs at the idea that we had the Gentleman's stuff. Many even claim that Meyer was run out of the SEC because he wasn't cut throat or tuff enough. Recruiting, games with films, etc are apparently common place in the SEC. I think the attitude is, if its not an NCAA violation and it gives us a leg up, DO IT! In no way was I condoning anything. Just sharing the "SEC" or "National" (since it seems the SEC's way is the only way) perspective.
Well it basically boils down to the "mistake" was made on Tuesday, fixed on Tuesday so bitching about it on Saturday afternoon was lame.....
Michigan St I'm finding is full of excuses for a loss...So far they've blamed the film, the refs, their WR's, their RB (who they loved just 2 games ago), their OC, etc.... The fact is if Braxton hadn't fumbled twice and threw a pick once all in MSU territory that game would've been a 34-10 game at best for them....We dominated them on both lines and they are hanging all the blame for the loss on anything else they can. We out rushed them 204 yards to 34 yards, we had 3 turnovers they had none....If you can go on the road, turn it over 3 times and still win you've pretty much handled the opponent.....
Much like your game against Notre Dame, 5 turnovers and still barely lost but the Notre Dame fan doesn't see anything other than they are the best in the country and can beat anybody.
Lol well its funny. MSU was just trying to make it seem like it was one of the reason they lost, it wasnt. As much as I dislike Hoke and UM, I know he or any of his coaches would never pull this. It would be handled behind closed doors. They threw that out there like it effected the game. Had they won, this thread would never be here. He would have never said a thing.

And we have a winner!
Youre making too much sense. People just love to hate great coaches is all. Meyer, Saban, Carrol...
Hopefully Hoke took notes from this latest Urban trick and takes a sludge hammer to the UM game film before he mails it to Columbus. For the first time in my 30 years on this earth I will be pulling for the Wolverines and that will happen on their last regular season game (assuming them winning doesn't hurt MSU somehow). I have never pulled for Michigan ever. It will feel strange.
To be honest this used to exist. It has started to disappear over the past couple of years and now it's completely gone.
If anyone can bring that back, it's the slimeball otherwise known as Urban Meyer.
But really, MSU shouldn't be surprised to get dirty tricks from Meyer. Hopefully it fires up the MSU staff and team to really ratchet up the intensity for any MSU-OSU games.
