Thats a shocker.....
To hell with ND!
My opinion on this is that it is just as negligent by Sam to not give the specific details. He had to know it would rile the fans up, especially since it revolves around Isaac, so throwing it out there without details has caused a frenzy. People blasting Farrell on Twitter, speculating about Wlltfong, and generally running around with flaming pitch forks to every recruiting site outside of Scout. And fans tweeting Isaac directly about all kinds of random stuff just makes our fans look nuts.
Apparently he put out that the coaches told DOD to commit sight unseen or they were gonna pull his offer. DOD said that wasnt true, so another knock on farrell
He did post that. He said DOD was told to commit sight unseen or be dropped. The funny thing was the guys from the site asking him if he was sure and then a few insiders said that was a bunch of crap, that Hoke doesn't work like that. In the end DOD was told we were full at LB. He wasn't told not to visit or to commit sight unseen. Hoke saved his family probably $1000 on the trip. He was just honest and let DOD know there were no spots open for him.
I checked out Farrell's twitter and the guy isn't professional. He clearly wants Levenberry to go to FSU. Half of his messages on there are basically about how recruits will go somewhere other than Michigan.
Dont know what is really going on but over on rivals they are blaming Wiltfong and/or Sapp saying its definitly a 247 guy dont really believe it but take it for whats its worth. IMHO the grand scheme of things will not be effected this team is destined for greatness cant wait
It's definitely not Wiltfong, he doesn't operate like that.
Anyone saying that it's Wiltfong or Sapp is flat out wrong, I've read Sapp's post they're referring to and it has nothing to do with Smith's commitment. The only thing he said is that it probably doesn't affect Isaac's decision because Isaac wasn't going to decide until after his USC visit, anyways. If somebody said anything negative about Smith's commitment, it wasn't those two.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Even if Farrell didn't do anything wrong I find it incredibly annoying how he makes snide remarks about him being "correct" about FSU being right there with Michigan in terms of Levenberry's recruitment. First he wouldn't admit that Michigan was out in front for a while, and now that Levenberry is spending the week at FSU he's acting like he was right about FSU being tied or ahead in EJ's recruitment all along. Twitter is a form of media and the guy needs to treat it as such.
No, Steve is a class act he wouldn't do that. I don't think he has broken a story too early either which is really nice.
this guy for you twitterites.....
dont know much about Sapp but I got a pretty good feel for Steve and I like what he brings to the table seems to be pretty straight up I just wanted to report what I heard from over there
TAMU I agree. Both Steve and Jason are as solid of a reporter as you could ever ask for.
Sapp is solid and strong. One of the best in the biz.
Link to tweets? Because his posts don't say anything about Michigan being full at RB.
Seems like this is just turning into a witch hunt.
He didn't tweet it....he contacted the kid directly apparently......
Grab your pitchforks and torches......AHHHHHHHHHHHHH....................
I HIGHLY doubt that, he's never done anything like that before. Not sure what Sam's upset about but I doubt that it's about Sapp or Steve.
Yeah, totally ridiculous at this point. I hope people get bored of it soon because it's really embarrassing. Complete mob mentality with people now blasting Sapp on Twitter based on hearsay and speculation, after the same hearsay and speculation about Farrell which turned out to be false.
I don't think Farrell has a vendetta against Michigan, I just think he's somewhat of an uninvolved idiot on certain recruiting topics. Sapp on the other hand is solid.
You are correct Farrell has not spoken highly of Michigan forever and for that matter. But then again I may be wrong for pointing anyone out since many media types nationally prefer to see the SEC, ND, Texas, Ohio(su)) and USC do well and dream, pray and will do anything to help Michigan look bad as if to fail.

I guarantee it was not Steve. I have never interacted with Sapp, so I can't speak about that, but I would be surprised if it was him. There are definitely some bad apples in this business (see: the MSU guy breaking a bunch of Michigan commits before the recruit wanted it published and the entire Bucknuts staff), but Steve and JSapp are way above that.
