Despite the biased tone of Kurelic's piece, it sounds like this is wide open and we have as good a chance at landing Harris as anyone:
After an outstanding year on the gridiron, one where he was the integral part of his team's state title, Harris is becoming increasingly sure his future is in football. "From the beginning the reason why I committed to State was because I was playing two sports and I wanted to play for Izzo. If I was just playing basketball, I wouldn’t be looking at any other schools, but I kind of want to focus on football and just playing football and that’s why. I mean, I’m still committed to State and everything, but I want to open my recruiting back up." When asked if he was still deciding between the two sports, Harris said, "No, I’m for sure just going to play football." Visits appear likely to happen, but nothing is set in stone yet. "Man, we haven’t set anything up yet," Mr. Harris explained. "People come out and say this stuff. They quoted Drake saying that and I don’t even think Drake said that. I mean, of course they want us to come down and visit." "I don’t have any visits set yet," Drake echoed, but when asked which schools he may look at for football, he responded with: "Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Florida State."

There have been mutterings about this for awhile, but I hadn't heard from some people in the know that he was considering Mich., but good news nonetheless.
I'm surprised USC isn't in that mix as well. If they show interest, they probably will be.
This is just more info that makes me wonder why kids commit so early. Both Denzel Ward and Drake Harris have now committed to schools and then decided to be "still committed, but looking around" before the class ahead of them has signed their LOIs.
No one that has followed Harris should be surprised by this. I still will be shocked if he goes to OSU. I think, like Steve said, USC is a much more likely out of state destination, especially if they get their ship straight. I wonder which southern schools are now involved (alabama, lsu?)...and if so, those are big threats than OSU too.
It is true...kids do get smarter with time
