Why does the guy get banned for that thread? That is pretty weak on someone's part. I never post on here but enjoy reading up. That is pretty weak.
What's this about?
Huh? Who banned him and who is he?
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
It's someone I know that posted " Does anyone know what time the MSU and OSU games start today? "He was then banned from 247 for it. He's a UM fan just having a little fun on the UM board. I don't see a problem with that. Who cares, it was just a little stab at them. All part of a rivalry.
And I don't know who banned him.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
I am not sure why Michigan fans would ban him for screwing with Sparty and OSU...we do that every single day here
Most likely a Karma ban. He had to be sacrificed to the basketball gods.
Yeah some new bullsh*t system right now for 247 forums. A ban on any site equals a ban every where. Probably some butt hurt Sparty mod taking advantage of this glitch... Worst part is you can't even PM or anything with the ban. I had to make a new account when I got banned from Sparty.
A RCMB mod can ban a Wolverine 247 poster for something they posted on the Wolverine 247 board? Am I reading that correctly? That seems pretty ridiculous.
Yep. Ducks told us about it a while ago, I'm not surprised to see it start taking effect. 247 needs to change this before angry mods start banning paying customers from their homeboards.
I'm not sure if they can ban him if he has never posted on RCMB, but if he has posted there, they can definitely ban him across the net on all 247 forums... Definitely ridiculous imo. I don't know if it is possible to ban if he has just posted here...
I knew that a ban on another board was system wide, but I wasn't aware another mod could ban on another board. Your mods should be able to get him back.
I clarified this by asking Ducks - apparently you don't even need to post on a given forum for its mods to ban you.
Ouch, that is brutal.
i dont even know what mod is or how to ban people or upvote a thread or start a thread or anything. f*** it
That is dumb if u get banned from a rival for posting a little dig on ur own site.
Is it safe....?
Rival mods being able to ban people posting on their own home board is kinda like having the fox guard the henhouse no...?
Btw, thank you to whomever plugged me back in
Question for some of the more informed people around here.
I have been blacklisted from tRCMB permanently, is this going to effect my ability to post elsewhere? It hasn't seemed to up until this point.
No it will not. This only happens for some weird bans. It doesn't happen all the time and is a big they're trying to fix.
Tommy, when I read your original post you got banned for I thought "Man, I wish I'd said that". I should of upvoted you at the time for the laugh...I just made up for it. Also thanks for ALeas for bringing it to light.
