We want to thank you for helping us grow as fast as we have here at Wolverine247. We've really enjoyed interacting with all of you, and look forward to the continued growth of this site.
One thing we want to address as we continue to get more and more posters is that some of the language needs to be cleaned up. Please do not use any cuss words, homophobic slurs or masked versions of either one. Every message you want to get across can be communicated without use of these words. And I realize that you may not have meant anything offensive by the word(s) you used, but others may not see it that way. As moderators, we all do our best to keep this board as clean as possible, but there's no way we can see every post as soon as it's posted. So we really do need everyone's cooperation on this.
I know I'm a really new member of the board, but I've been lurking around for a long time, and just created an account. I'm continually impressed with the level of respectful communication that occurs on this board - I find it fosters an atmosphere that's very welcoming and enjoyable, and brings out the best in other teams' fans who elect to post here. The fact that we have civil discussions with Buckeye/Spartan fans routinely is a testament to the character of the board.
I think refraining from cursing/using slurs won't be a problem for the vast majority of the board, and I think it'll simply further emphasize the type of environment we want for this board, one where anyone can come for an intelligent, reasoned discussion of college football and recruiting (with a splash of GO BLUE flavor thrown in).
On top of everything else, the less we resemble Bucknuts, the better. After reading this post, I took a wild gander through some of the most recent threads over there, and here's a sampling of some posts, the likes of which I hope never to see in this forum: (note, these are all from different posters, this isn't just one person)
"You know what? scUM licks the festered, maggot covered anus of an old donkey. Always has. The most overrated, over-hyped, under achieving program in history! If that kid wants to go to Detroit then good luck to him! Wear that funny looking, s*** splattered helmet with pride! I'm sure there is a crack hoe waiting for him in the projects!"
"Jack Daniels and Neoavatara are both trolls and need to be banned from this board! Go back to your own little pathetic piece of s*** board you f***ing a**holes."
"Matt---Your becoming a CLOWN working your way to ASS CLOWN. --- Careful"
"again it amazes me that ceertain @@@@ heads keep positng on my threads........................please paid members, oh please give us info we dont know........I beg of you..................hold on, wait, I know before you do, so how about sucking my @@@ sack not so great and diego??? how about that?? some chin nuts for the two you whoe never have anything to say!!!!"
"lol no one takes f***** mattincincy serious. Stop posting garbage."
Let's all agree to never, ever, ever turn into that.

If we join a a VIP do we get to see all sites VIP postings or just MI. I know like for rivals, you can still only read certain articles from other teams sites.
Mich Alum '92 & '94.
Articles yes, vip boards no, just UM
You can read any article you want on the 24/7 network, however you can only read the VIP posts on the board you are subscribing too.
Go Blue and Go Titans!
Sure, if you're actually passing out upvotes!
All day all night.
Just upvoted you!
Bumping this thread back up to the top.
We have noticed a large increase in personal insults and bad language, so going to give everyone a warning again.
Your first offense would have the insults and language removed from your post.
Second offense will also result in a one (1) day ban.
Third offense will result in a seven (7) day ban.
Fourth offense will result in either a thirty (30) day ban or permaban depending on the offense.
However, we reserve the right to skip any of these steps if we feel the poster's sole intent is to cause trouble and push the board's buttons.
We are encouraging plenty of healthy debate, and such language is not needed to make a point.
As a reminder, the GBOD Crew thread has a lot slacker setting, and less will be taken seriously there.
Completely agree with this.
tRCMB boys beware!
Don't know why this thread ended up on the Auburn site, but now that your here, to all the WOLVERINE fans, two words, Beat bama...........WDE
Can you add the hot topics back to the main Michigan page?
yes please do so todd....the page feels naked without it, just seems different now lol
Why am I not surprised?
You guys need to clean up the language around here. The GBOD thread in uncensored. Say all of the nastiest things you've always wanted to say there.
I promised I would get this started when the board was created, so welcome all members to the greatest crew on 247.
UPDATE 7-18-2012: Goi
Just asking a question:
Is something like this a bannable offense?
so is the upvote party thread COMPLETELY clean?i mean thats just a fun thread too right?we cant say any up in there?
I saw this thread was like..."OH SNAP, its TODD!!!" then it was just a bump
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Bump'd you when you were a virgie
So do the other boards *cough* RCMB and Bucknuts * cough* get messages like this. They are horrible in every thread and when you try to have a civil conversation they cuss and say some of the most grotesque crap.
I don't think we should get messages like this and them not. We are clean for the most part as it is.
Michigan is held to a higher standard then those aforementioned. I'm sure they will get whats coming to them, if not let it be a testament to the character of our posters. GO BLUE
It's at the discretion of the staff on each board, not a 247-wide policy.
