Michigan has announced that Hardaway will be holding a press conference for this afternoon at 3 pm. Not a ton of information out about this decision as there was for Burke, but most signs hint that he will be heading for the NBA. Nothing confirmed, but a pretty big announcement nonetheless for Michigan.

I posted this on another board, but it seems odd to me that they'd potentially hold 3 different press conferences to announce the same thing. I can understand Trey getting his own because of the accolades and the other guys not being ready to announce, but to do one for Tim on his own and then another in a day or two when McGary / Robinson announce is interesting.
Does it mean the decisions are different? Does it mean Hardaway has been there longer and they are giving him some spotlight? Is it a marketing thing where Michigan will stay in the news more frequently with pro-Hoops talk (not positive for fans if they all leave, but for recruits watching, seeing constant reminders that Michigan coaches get guys NBA-ready is a positive for the program).
They're all making their own decisions. If Mitch and Glenn aren't ready to make their decisions, should Tim have to wait?
It would be great if Tim came back, but I think you're reading too much into it.
I would announce separately. I am not sure what one decision has with another.
I hope THJ comes back...another year may do him some good.
I think he's gone, but remember: Taylor Lewan scheduled an announcement only to come back. Never know.
THJ isn't a lottery pick. Wouldn't make sense to "announce" he's coming back. He's gone IMO.
McGary and GR3 I think either both stay or both leave. I'm cautiously optimistic about them staying at this point, but who knows.
If Timmy does announce for the draft today, there HAS to be a highly rated football commit today, too. It's kind of a (new) rule.
Tim Hardaway's Hat might be a tell...
Selfishly hope he stays, but if he's ready to go I wish him nothing but the best. It's possible that he could make a Trey-like jump with another offseason of ball-handling. Plus with Trey not being on the roster, he'll have the ball in his hands alot more I think. At the same time, not having Trey could make things harder on him since teams won't be focusing on Trey all game.
Either way, I definitely see positives. If he does leave, I think you've got to mention him as one of the guys responsible for the Michigan hoops renaissance.
Not to take away from the Timmy of it all, but how is it that RCMB always has significantly longer threads on the same topic as here or MGoBlog?
I'm ok with Hardaway Jr. leaving.
He gave us 3 good (but not necessarily great) years.
A sophomore Nik Stauskas, a sophomore Caris Levert, and a freshman Zak Irvin should be able to fill Hardaway's shoes.

They have a crush on us.
All their threads lead to a great amount of in-fighting. There's a faction (likely the ones who know nothing about about sports) who say "We want THJ to stay! We beat them by 30 when he was on the court!" and ignore the fact that he's been a starter during their 2-4 stretch against Michigan. Those are probably the same people who take that one game and justify in their heads that they would have beat Louisville and won the National Championship if they had Michigan's draw. Then there's a sensible faction who says "Uhhh, THJ leaving would definitely be a good thing for the rest of the B1G."
It's kind of funny to read...it's almost like watching 2 girls fight after school.
Yahoo is now reporting that Hardaway will enter the NBA Draft. Also reported Burke to the draft for what it's worth.

Yeah.. he gone.
Go get ur money Timmy!
Do you guys think he will get drafted?
Because they have way more people on RCMB than here. Also, people tend to only post insightful comments on mgoblog, not the case with RCMB.

Yup! Dunno where thou.
Without a doubt. His dad probably made a ton of calls to get a feel for Jr's prospects. IMO, if Sr would have got the sense that Jr wouldn't get drafted, he'd probably tell him to stay another year.
Probably somewhere in the 2nd round. Likely will get on an NBA roster, at least for a few years. He will really need to bring it over the offseason to earn a place in the future. Summer Leagues and where he lands will be huge. Big difference between him and Burke, but probably wasn't going to improve a ton if he stays next year anyway (nothing guaranteed decision-wise as of now).
Hardaway has declared for the NBA
Good for him. Definitely happy that he's reached the point where he can achieve his dream of playing in the NBA. It'll be a hit to us definitely, but when you're building a program, you've got to expect guys to step up. Guys like Stuaskas, LeVert, and Irvin are going to have to have great off seasons and come in as ready as possible next November. Best of luck to him!
