Meh, a weak argument warrants a weak response.
Go Blue and Go Titans!
Amazing that someone who just typed these sentences is making the argument that anyone or any fan base is delusional. OSU did or didn't have an undefeated season. Whether they're playing in a bowl game has nothing to do with whether they're undefeated.
BTW, "in the senese that everybody accepts"???? You mean in the sense that we weren't defeated in the 12 games we played? In the sense that we were 12-0-0, beating every team on our schedule? In the sense that we won every game? Who exactly doesn't accept that OSU had an undefeated season? Out of all the arguments you could make, out of all the things you could say, the fact that OSU wasn't really undefeated, is just the dumbest, saddest and most pitiful.
And any UM fan that thinks that going 8-4, losing to Ohio State, not going to the Big Ten title game, and not going to a BCS bowl is somehow better than going undefeated with no bowl game is lying to themselves. Does anyone think that Ohio State would give up its wins against Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Penn State this year if it meant they could go to the Capital One Bowl?
Talk about Tressel and the 1 of his 9 wins against you that was vacated all you want if it makes it sting less, but don't kid yourself about which is better, "getting to play one more game in a mid-tier bowl" vs. "beating your most hated rival and going undefeated" it's just not even a question.
Also, this whole "your season didn't count" talk makes no sense. I'm pretty sure OSU just notched another career win against UM and everyone else it played in the Big 10, will finish AP top 5, and all it's players and coaches are viable for post season awards. It's not even like every team in the country goes to a bowl game so that argument makes sense on no level. Plenty of teams don't make it to bowl games, their seasons certainly count.
This is a sad sad thread...
And what exactly was Hoke "perks" he was giving away at Ball State?
And basketball =/= football, so what does the Fab Five got to do with anything?
You are clueless on the Conley situation, but nice try.
I never said it didn't count, I said it was meaningless.
The goal of a program is to win championships, whether conference or national, and when you go undefeated and still can't qualify for either of them, then it most certainly is meaningless.
I'd personally like to know whats up with the Conley situation, Hoke definitely has upheld his no visitation policy and Conley certainly visited OSU this weekend, so what gives? Please do tell!
So since your team did neither i guess that's meaningless too.
EDIT: blue2468: personal attacks not allowed here, come back tomorrow.

Why don't you wait a couple days like the rest of us? The offer will be pulled just like with Dawson and Brown the year prior.

Nope, I cannot read due to going to Ohio schools, just smashing my face against the keyboard right now. But due to some miracle, I saw that Ball State had a book loan problem dating back to 1999 and involved ten sports, which is strange because Hoke didn't become coach until 2003 and only coached the football team. Hoke must have started up those violations beforehand because he just knew he would be coach there one day. That's it all right.
And Hoke (Hoax is not even close to Hoke, can you not spell?) pulled Dawson's scholarship because Dawson went behind the back of the coaches and was constantly trying to set up visits to Florida. Conley, on the other hand, was upfront with Hoke about the visit, and understood that he not considered a commit right now and someone can come and take it if they want. Try again, and quit spewing out this nonsense. It might work on Bucknuts, but it won't work on here.
And once again, what does BASKETBALL got to do with FOOTBALL?
Try again, kid.
I explain in my previous post.
No, but we still had a chance, unlike Ohio State.
And enjoy your day ban, we don't allow personal attacks here. I don't care for the debates, but if you can't make your point without personally attacking someone, then you already lost.
So your season was meaningless?
Well according to your fellow fan's explanation Conley may not have his offer pulled.
I explained above, keep up.
It has not according to multiple sources, but he does risk the chance of losing his spot.
You explained nothing. You just said, "no we still had a chance" like that actually means something. You didn't win a national championship, conference championship, division championship, or your rivalry game. Hell, with the championship logic, at least OSU won the Leaders Division championship. You won nothing. Our season was meaningless but yours wasn't cause you had the chance to do some things that you failed miserabley at? That's really your position?
So you would agree that a Sugar Bowl appearance when you didn't even play in your Conference Championship game is nothing special, right?
I meant he won't be considered a commit, didn't really think about what I was saying. The point is, he wouldn't be part of the Michigan recruiting class right now. It's not really up for debate, that's the way it works.
If you can't understand what I said, then there is no point.
At the beginning of the season, each and every team in the Big Ten had a shot to become the B1G champion... besides Ohio State. What exactly was this season played for? Michigan still played (and regretfully failed) to win the B1G, but we still had a chance. That makes it meaningful. Ohio State went undefeated, and yet still couldn't win the B1G or the NCG or even the Gator Bowl. That makes it meaningless.
If you don't get it, then you never will.
We would still be the Sugar Bowl Champions.
You suck at arguing kid, what next, are you going to start arguing women's tennis like it pertains to football?
haaa, im 24 buddy so yea it will. if you go back in time, the series started out with your wining 14-15 games. now your up by 13, so you smashed us at the begginging no kididng there, you taught us how to play, but now we ahve learned and were beating your ass. so take away the 1800's and you actually have a tied fight, but typical little brother fan, always having to go back to the 1800's to make your self feel better, but ok. ill give you that, remember im 24 and we have Urban Meyer you know him as 2 time national champion 2 undefeated season's. how many does brady hoke have? oh yeah he doesnt even have 1 championship at the conference level. get at me when he does!
LOL you beat Virginia Tech... everyone beats Virginia Tech. They are one of the most consistently overrated teams in the country yet you brag as if they're Bama. It's so sad to see Michigan fans steep to such a low level of sour grapes because deep down they know that his year was their last, best chance to beat OSU under Urban and that the next few years are going to be full of Wolverine butt-whoopings and OSU dominance.
Like I said, when you tie it up, get back to me "little brother".
Well since upset UM fans are allowed to throw around gossip as fact surrounding the tattoo scandal, let's take a walk down memory lane.
Who can forget how all of the UM players were actually stoned during the app state game?
Breaking actual laws instead of made up NCAA laws...
Also, do I need to remind UM fans of the Rish Rod extra practice time? UM players cheated and still didn't even make a bowl game, that's how terrible the program has been lately. Those are major infractions. Now, fans, like you all, sit and criticize a man who was loyal to a fault to his players. While their team has been shown to be cheaters as well. 8-4 with a signature win over Northwestern, which took a miracle play. If you don't think UM has taken a major step back this season you're a fool. I would rather be 12-0 and no bowl game if it meant beating UM. Let's see who gets a bigger recruiting push this season... The team that makes a minor bowl, or the undefeated team.... Gonna be a hilarious next decade of excuses for UM fans... Time to resort to the 1900's again..

Apparently not every team beats VT since they were in a BCS bowl last year.
And I wasn't bragging about it, just explaining we were still the Sugar Bowl "Champions".
No sour grapes here, you guys won fair and square and life still goes on, but don't think Meyer is going to win every year against Hoke. You are delusional if you think that.
