1) you're kidding yourself about the Cap One bowl. Second tier for sure to all the BCS Bowls. You're embarrassing other Michigan fans. Stop it.
2) OSU would be able to beat some, not all of the teams you listed. UM has proven they would lose (see game #1).
3) stop with the if/then what/ifs of every game. Fact is, if you want to play that game, UM could easily be 5-7:
- Air Force
- Michigan State (also lucky, thank you refs)
- Northwestern (lucky)
Another few fun facts that should encourage you to stop your rant (above):
1) Michigan Played 5 teams with a winning record.
2) Michigan only won one (1) of those games and only by being taken to overtime in a game that never should have made it to overtime. I'll give credit to Roundtree for a fabulous catch but that was 1 in 100 all day long. Should have lost that one. That would have meant UM would have won zero games against programs with winning records. What does that say?
3) Against ranked teams, UM won only 1 of 3 games, and again, only after being taken to overtime (NW).
However, being above all of that, I am only illustrating the ignorance of your post, not bashing UM.

The Father, The Son... well, it's the
The Holy Trinity... as I see it.
Actually, you are wrong. OSU self-reported the violations. Get the facts straight. And Tress was wrong. The tattoo thing doesn't even come close to all that went on with the Fab Five and the people that were involved. Not even close. Step away from the computer. Myopia.
ncb, I guess UM's season is "more meaningful" at 8-4. smh
Tressel knew about this situation for nearly a year before it was "self reported". So it took that whole time of trying to cover the whole situation up before the hole being dug became too deep, and was finally self reported....quite mypoic to say the least.
I would rather go 12-0 and beat Ohio nearly everytime. Michigan fans who say otherwise are not being true.
So sure your program is on the up and up huh? That nothing has happened that Hoke hadn't overlooked or kept quiet that he didn't think was THAT big of a deal or not worth getting UM dragged through the mud for some minor infractions "that goes on at every school" like OSU did? Totally clean you think? Its naive to think a number of rumors or stories don't come across every coaches desk, every year and the coaches don't look into it or do anything about it. Some don't have time, some don't want to know, and some have heard so much talk they assume there is nothing to it. It goes on at every program, you guys just haven't been caught....lately. So go ahead and throw stones at OSU, but be careful where you are standing when you do so.
It's really cute how you have to justify your own program's dirty deeds with the tired old "everybody does it" line. Logically, you've painted yourself into a corner: Now, either you concede that OSU did it and not everyone else does, or you admit that everyone does it, but OSU is one of the few schools full of morons stupid enough to actually get caught.
So, do you fail at ethics, or do you fail at cheating? Choose wisely.
And again, you highlight the difference between the schools, or atleast the cognitive capacity of the fan bases.
Stop using big words, you'll confuse the Bucknut.
hence cognitive capacity
you know, what I really like about this thread, is the fact that on the very day that the 2002 nationional champ team was being honored................ you lost! and after the game, your honorable coach, your meechigan man, your classy leader of young men, whom always does the right thing couldn't even shake the hand of the man he just played on the field. even bo and woody had enough respect for each other to always find each other after a game. just a little food for thought, so the next time the fab five is being honored for being a bunch of dirt bags, you might want to try thinking before anointing yourselves the cleanest school in the land.
I know, its hard to remember meeeechigans last undefeated season.
You played no one in OC games, and you played 8 games at home
If you would of opened with Bama, and played ND at home your record wouldnt be 12-0
You only won by 5 at home, with more talent congrats
I'm pretty sure football players can't just take anything they want out of the locker room at every school
If tOSU had played Bama in game 1, you'd be right. Meyer was installing a new system, switching players' positions (Reid Fragel, very average TE last year, will probably be a 1st day NFL pick at RTackle....FB Zach Boren became the man at the Mike midseason. Meyer can coach!) ....
I think both teams would do much better against Bama at this point in the season.
michigan or ohio will not beat bama right now. they will easily win by a minimum of 14 pts
You really should get your facts straight. Sounds good... if you don't know what you're talking about.
OSU would have lost to Alabama and would have beaten ND. Soundly. ND is way overrated and will lose by 14-30 points in the NCG.
Even then, OSU would be 11-1, not 8-4.
Wait, what? This type of ridiculous hypothetical has been attacked by OSU fans for the last year every time a Michigan fan commented on the fact that the last score should have been 44-34.
Your OC messes up on the goal line, our OC messes up on multiple 3rd-down calls. What's done is done. For every mistake you can point to that would've or should've given OSU more points, we can point to one for Michigan.
As a neutral antifan of both schools, i'd take nd @ home against ohio. I somewhat agree on the NC, I think Bama wins by a couple touchdowns.
I'd also venture to say that if you lost Miller early in the game against Nebraska the outcome would have been much different in that game.
jim tressel made some mistakes but did alot of good for kids and the state of ohio.....we forgive tressel and move on only you michigan fans will continue to bring him up in negative ways....and that is ok i still bring up mr webber lol....when we have our 20 year party i hope they put a statue up of tressel he deserves that for the annual performance in "the game" go bucks!! regardless of what you say on here he did own michigan....
I don't think there is a single person on this website who has lived long enough for Michigan to hold a winning record against OSU. Keep bragging about your great grandfathers heyday!
Could a Michigan fan please respond to this, I'd love to hear the excuse.
So we are going to equate not shaking hands with straight up lying to the NCAA? These things are the same to OSU fans?
