"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
New pick is Chase Winovich May 10
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
WOOO! 2 points for me, since nobody else predicted JBB! And yeah, horribly off on the date, but it doesn't matter, we got JBB! That's the best thing about this game - even if you "lose", everyone wins.
As for my next prediction - Chase Winovich, May 10.
Wow, awesome prediction for JBB. No one else had that pick. Congrats. You have the only 2 point's so far.
You should keep standings up in the first post.
Its still early brosef...and now there's a target on your back
I'll have to go with Bars over Winovich to commit next.
Watson May 20th
What do you guys think about getting additional points for guessing the date on a scale? Something like:
10 additional points for guessing the exact date
3 additional points for within a week
1 additional point for within a month
If we do something like that, we could also have multiple winners if multiple people guess the same recruit. Maybe only the first person gets the point (or maybe should be more?) for the correct recruit, but others can get date related points if they also guessed the right recruit.
Maybe I'm making this too complicated.
Shaun Crawford on May 9
I'd be all for something like that, but we'd have to rejigger the point system a bit to make it balanced. I say we treat this entire year like a test run, and we can revise the game for next year based on what did and didn't work this year.
Kyron Watson - June 1st
I think he will go home and collect his thoughts after his visit. Although waiting until June for our next commit may cause a meltown
Another thought, we probably don't want to allow people to change their date guesses. According to the current rules, there's nothing to stop me from continuously changing my Alex Bars date to the current day every day.
Oops, I guess this would:
Predictions, and changes, must be posted 24 hours in advance of the commitment being announced on either the 247 board or the MGoBlog board.
I guess I could still make it tomorrow every day.
Just one man's opinion but I like simple
Ha. I don't know. I'm not sure everyone understands the current point system.
Everyone gets at least one point for getting the name right. An extra point for being first and an extra point for picking the date. There are probably holes but I agree lets see how it works. A bunch of guys dropped out after missing on the first pick.
On second thought I am returning to my original pick of Kyron Watson May 20.
Since Bars hasn't committed I'm switching to Winovich on the 10th.
I believe the current votes for next commit are:
Bars - 1
Winovich - 3

It looks like a lot of guys didn't put in a new pick after JBB committed. In case its not clear, after a commitment all old picks go away and you have to pick again.
Winovich on the 12th
Get your votes in. Big weekend coming up. Don't let CMXI run away with this.
If you haven't voted for the next commit since JBB then you haven't voted.
Just making sure my pick for Watson on June 1st is in. Picked it right after the JBB commitment but just verifying.
