Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan will reportedly decide his future as a Wolverine today at a 6PM press conference.
Yeahh he so gone
Yep. One of the aTm tackles is going early, but it sounds like the other one is coming back.
He's a lock for the top 7 picks.
Congrats on an outstanding UM career!
I think Lewan ends up coming back just a pure guess though. Just seems to like college.
Coming back in my opinion....doesn't want to go out of UM with the reputation that they got manhandled most of the year. And a bad outing against ohio.

I think he's 100 percent gone, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
I wish I thought (or didn't think perhaps) like you Moon.
Just don't see him coming back. Legend if he did.
My gut is when they have a press conference they come back. When they are gone they Tweet it...
I hope he comes back. Would be nice to have a #1 draft pick again next year. I think he's gone though.
If he comes back, Derrick Green should be happy!
I kinda agree....why have a press conference just to say you're leaving. And if he has another stellar year..... are they gonna take Clowney or the man that held him in check as the #1 overall pick?
Lewan is the one kid I could see coming back with a top-10 draft grade. He's just that type of person who might go against the $$$ to have another year of college, be a captain, etc.
I honestly won't be surprised, or disappointed, with either result from the presser. I couldn't turn away top-10 money in the NFL, but he also never had a chance to go through being a senior at Michigan (senior day, standing out there with his family, going through the SEAL stuff, being a captain, etc).
I'll also say that OL coming back is less risky than a QB coming back. The QB is judged on wins and losses and is depending on his OL, WRs, and RBs to make him look good. The OL is just relying on himself and is going to be bigger/stronger than he was the previous season most likely. Jake Long came back, lost to App State, Oregon, Wisconsin, and OSU on a team that fell far below expectations and was still drafted #1 overall. A QB coming back and having that year (Barkley?) cost themselves tens of millions.
Agree the QB relies on the team a LT just needs to block the guy in front of him
Clowney without question. Don't fool yourself, though Lewan had a good showing he wasn't taking on clowney 1-1 for 60mins. He had help from the guard, TE and RB. In the NFL where you can't afford to double or triple team guys Clowney will be a force if he stays healthy. Lewan will likely be top 10 if he has a good sr yr but clowney is easily number one.
Meh... Lewan takes a Jadeveon and wipes his Clowney on a daily
Or, if you're Jake Long, the 3 guys in front of you, plus the LB behind them and occasionally a CB too for good measure.
He already moved off campus, he's gone.
By off campus do you mean not in dorms? Because a lot of football players live in houses/apartments south of campus near the facilities and not in dorms.

No he hasn't lived in dorms for several years. He was moving out of his house this week.
Ahh ok. And now that I think about it asking about moving right now is stupid because leases are either Fall/Fall or Summer/Summer, not ending in the winter. What a dumb question on my part.
So that pretty much confirms what we already now.
So a press conference to tell us he is going pro? Why!?
Presser is pretty standard to do if he is going pro. Just to thank the fans/coaches/admin/ etc...
Call me crazy, but I don't think Lewan (or Hoke) are the type to prefer to announce something like that by tweet.
Was more of a generalization than pointing directly to Lewan. Most of the underclassmen that are leaving early you read about via twitter, message boards or the ESPN ticker.
