3 days after NSD, USC loses RB coach Kennedy Polamalu. 4th full-time coach to leave USC since their bowl loss. Reports are that players are NOT happy about this one, as Polamalu was the only Trojan left on staff.
At this point, I don't even know if Kiffin makes it through next season.
USC players took to Twitter to vent their frustrations and disbelief upon hearing news of reports that offensive coordinator/running backs coach Kennedy Polamaly would not be returning to USC next season.
I dont feel bad at all. He made his decision now he has to live with it.
At one point I was pretty annoyed that SC stole him from us, but we got Derrick Green so I couldn't care less where he goes now.
Yeah. He knew what he was getting into by signing day. Adults live with the decisions they make. I hope it works out for him long term.
Yep, this is how I feel. He had first crack at being with Fred Jackson, Brady Hoke, and the incredible OL we're building, but he passed on it. Derrick Green will just be a beast for us instead.
It wasnt like the dumpster fire happened over night. It had plenty of time to look elsewhere.
Bingo, I am happy with how it turned out with getting Green instead. LM3 enrolling early, that is a different story. I would like to get the month of January back to recruit him.
Well maybe Arnie will comfort him. I do feel bad for him. By the time he is a sophomore or transfers SC will be in full dumpster fire mode.
I would much rather have Green right now, but Isaac would have made a good TE/H-back/WR
USCw makes the right hire and the Kiffen years will be forgotten. They are a blue blood and can rebound quickly.
Who cares. He had his chance.

Agreed. And although they will have less depth on their roster for the next coach, the talent they'll have will far exceed whatever Rich Rod left for us. Our turnaround is a full recruiting cycle, 4 year turn around. Theirs can be done in 2 years depending on their next class.
I think Derrick Green is going to be so much better than Isaac. Isaac should be a WR instead of a RB. He's just to tall for RB.
It's funny how it worked out. Isaac was our first choice for RB but in retropect I think most of us prefer Derrick Green by a lot. He's the perfect fit. We get Isaac then we don't get Green. Isaac could have made a great WR recruit but he wasn't considering Michigan to play that position. Something drew Isaac to USC...he had to know Kiffin was a butthead and he went anyway.
To me that just shows how social media is a negative influence on team chemistry and makes coaches' jobs even harder. Active players shouldn't comment on internal matters in public but social media gives them the chance to do this within seconds and no chance of reflection or good advice to modify their impulsive thoughts.
At the very least, he will be hooking up with much hotter girls at USC than he ever would at Michigan, regardless of the playing time he gets while there.
And for that, I envy him.
