It sounds like there may be 1 National Signing Day Surprise this year. There's a Webblog over on TOS about it.
From what I read on mgoblog it is a true 3* Defensive Linemen.
I would say it would have to be either Greg Kuhar or Vontrell Williams.
Kuhar - Teammate of Kalis and Grant at St. Eds.
Williams - Committed to Illinois; Going through coaching changes.

Now why didn't we just accept a higher ranked prospect? Seriously we turn down people like Tommy Schutt and Se'von Pittman but are willing to take in two lower ranked guys
Because the coaching staff doesn't care about rankings?
True. They know more than i do about this stuff so i should just let them do there jobs. Just watched Vontrell's highlights and he struggles to get free on blocks but he seems solid.
Williams was a kid that had some interest in us early, but it seemed like we didn't have much interest in him.
Kuhar is interesting because of his relationships, but I saw him in one game this year, and was not terribly impressed. Though, that was one HS game, and a game where I was much more interested in Kalis and Grant.
Why go after a DL now? We ignored it after the Pipkins commit, now we may get a surprise commit on the DL after several months...?
That's what i was thinking. Why not go after Noah Spence when he was on the market. We all know Spence is better than those two players.
My guess, among the rumors I have heard, is Kuhar.
And I think the coaches are considering the best available prospect...not specifically a position need.
I am all for it. I have gone through 4 mike's hard lemonades, " cranberry" & nothing. Just pulled out the crown to help me from yesterday....
Jaleel Johnson please
True. I'm not opposed to getting another DT, but we could have been in the hunt for Sheldon Day or Aziz Shittu.
I like him.
Could be because that spot was for Garnett
No dude this is targeting DTs.
Maybe, this class is confusing. Same thing happened last year IIRC, guess i will just let them do their thing because they brought us to an 11 win season.
From my understand, the first I heard of the is rumor was from the Blog, and it was a specificnot to be named DL, not a host of them. So I still think it is the coaches going after best available...not specifically only DLs.
That would be legit but he's a consensus 4 star.
Nice to see the board come back to life.
I think this past year was just different, the coaches wanted to get into Michigan and get recruits to sign up early before the season started. I don't think it will be like that from here on out.
Or, could this be Hoke's strategy? Time will tell. Each can be successful in its own way.
Jaleel Johnson was a guy that was on our next tier if we didn't get Pipkins, and I always liked him...but I don't think he is in the discussion.
True and he just turned down the only other school he was considering which was MSU.
Didn't read that it was a 3-star
All I read was from Sam over at Scout
I would like to see a mix next year.
Why not make a run at Faith Ekakitie
If its true then that would totally suck. To pass on so many good player's and to tell everyone that they were done on the D line. Then to turn around and to do this would be disappointing.
Or maybe it's a DE, not a DT.
Guys like Spence, Odenigbo, etc. weren't gone after because at the time we had Brown and Mario O. both at DE in addition to others, we were full. Brown was initially committed as a DE, it wasn't until relatively recently he was thought of as a TE, shortly before he decommitted. Maybe the coaches want another DE with Mario O. being a DE/LB and Wormley, Godin, and possibly Strobel being SDE/DT.
Just a thought.
If you're theory is correct. I really, really hope that we pursue Ryan Watson and Ifeadi Odenigbo. Even if those are longshots, won't hurt.
